Es heisst, dass sich der Conte die besten Fässer seines Lieblingsweines in das Kellergewölbe seines Castello legte und sie dort in aller Ruhe reifen liess. Wie zu seiner Zeit sind es auch heute nur die besten Fässer eines jeden Jahrgangs, die für Conte di Lucca ausgewählt werden. Mit granatroter Farbe, anmutiger Beerenfrucht, deutlichem Kirscharoma, dem saftigen Charakter und seiner feinen Würze ist der harmonische Conte di Lucca die beste Gelegenheit, sich mit der edlen Montepulciano-Traube vertraut zu machen.
