Mit dem 7er der Baureihe F01 stellte BMW 2008 die neueste Version seines Spitzenmodells vor. Wieder hat der Premiumhersteller seine Limousine mit dem modernsten Zubehör auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik ausgerüstet, darunter viele Assistenzsysteme. Denn was neu und gut ist, baut BMW zuerst in sein Topmodell ein. Das Gleiche gilt für die Langversion (Typ F02) sowie die Hybridversion. Die hieß die ersten beiden Jahre nach der Einführung 2010 noch F04, später F01 LCI bzw. F02 LCI. Alle Fahrzeuge wurden optional mit Luftfederung und Niveauregulierung an der Hinterachse geliefert. Das hier angebotene Ersatzteil ist das Kompressor-Ventil für die hintere Luftfederung. Es passt auf den BMW 7er, und zwar auf die Ausführungen F01, F02 sowie F04 der Baujahre 2008 bis 2015. Nach jahrelangem Betrieb und Tausenden von Schaltzyklen kann es an einem Magnetventil zu einem Defekt kommen. Dabei ist jede Seite farblich gekennzeichnet: Die linke Luftfeder wird vom roten und die rechte vom blauen Anschluss gespeist.
