This is an extended 1hr 30 minute experience which includes a fully guided tour followed by a tasting of four Irish whiskeys before you blend your own personalised bottle of whiskey to take home. Journey back through time in a historic setting through this fantastic museum to unveil the intriguing tale of Irish whiskey. It will uniquely depict the origins of Irish Whiskey, its rise to glory, its dramatic fall and of course, the current revival of new Irish Whiskeys. Savour the captivating anecdotes as told by our entertaining guides as they bring you through the ages of Irish Whiskey.  This interactive, modern experience will offer a WOW factor unlike any other of its kind in Dublin.  So where did Whiskey come from exactly? Well it all started with with the monks. Irish Whiskey History originated around the time of the 11th Century and it is believed that Irish Monks brought this technique of distilling perfumes back to Ireland from their travels through North Africa. This tour runs daily at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before your intended tour.

National War Museum Scotland Discover the story of Scots at war over 400 years, revealed through personal mementoes, photographs and military objects. One o'clock Gun The One o’ Clock Gun was first fired from the Castle on 7 June 1861, and has continued ever since, six days a week, except during the two World Wars. Prisons of War Exhibition A highly acclaimed ‘Prisons of War’ experience in the castle vaults vividly recalls the conditions the 18th century captives endured. Royal Palace Its fine rooms were the home of Scotland’s royalty for centuries, where Queen Marie de Guise died in 1560 and her daughter Mary Queen of Scots gave birth to James VI in 1566. Royal Scots Regimental Museum Explore the proud and exciting story of one of Scotland's most famous regiments. Scottish National War Memorial Originally opened in 1927, this is a memorial to Scots who died in both World Wars, and in later campaigns. Their names are listed here in the Roll of Honour. The Regimental Museum Of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards An important collection illustrating the history of Scotland's only cavalry regiment and its English and Scottish antecedents dating back to 1678. The Stone of Destiny The Stone of Destiny is an important symbol of Scottish nationhood, and still plays a central role in all British coronations. It was the coronation seat of ancient Scottish kings. St Margaret's Chapel Take a quiet moment in St Margaret’s Chapel, built by David I around 1130 and the oldest building in Edinburgh. The museum features a series of fascinating exhibits dedicated to themes such as climate change and human DNA. There is also a children’s area that studies aspects about natural habitats, pollution and outer space. The section on ‘magical chemistry’ is well worth checking out while there is an entire level devoted to great scientists. Sports fans will love the section devoted to the city’s most successful football club, Valencia CF, and the Marvel superheroes exhibit attracts young and old in equal measure.  There are three levels of facts and fun, with each floor taking you to a new scientific dimension. On the ground floor, discover the Theatre of Electricity and the Space Cadet School, which the children will love. On level two, explore the Legacy of Science, which takes an in depth look at the work of Nobel laureates. At the top floor, there are special optional workshops as well as the Frozen Memory and Zero Gravity zones.  You will also find special exhibitions focusing on specific scientific themes while there are also a number of activities such as concerts, audiovisual shows and even cookery workshops. There is so much to see and do that you will be dazzled by this awesome experience.

Oceanário Abbott Oceanário Abbot le sumerge en el vibrante ecosistema de las ballenas beluga, los delfines de flanco blanco, las nutrias de mar y los leones de mar. También podrá observar multitud de peces e invertebrados que viven donde los flujos de agua dulce entran en el océano. Use nuestro mapa para descubrir cómo se vinculan los animales entre ellos, a sus hábitats y a nosotros mismos.  La Zona de Juego Polar Los niños tienen su propio lugar en el Acuario Shedd, 'La Zona de Juego Polar'. ¿Qué le gustaría ser? ¿Un pingüino deslizante y elegante? ¿Un explorador de aguas profundas? ¿Qué tal las dos cosas? En la Zona de Juego Polar puede disfrazarse de pingüino y fingir ser un pájaro en el Área de Juego Icy Sur. Desde allí puede dirigirse al Área de Juego Icy North para explorar las aguas del ártico en submarino. No se olvide de tocar las coloridas estrellas de mar en las piscinas. En la Zona de Juego Polar los niños aprenderán acerca de los polos opuestos- grande y pequeño, rápido y lento, superficial y profundo- e incluso sobre el norte y el sur, todo esto mientras juegan y se divierten.
