Due to its proximity to the cities of Cologne and Bonn SEAL LIFE Königswinter offers especially for families with children a tourist attraction unlike any other. A special highlight of SEA LIFE Königswinter is the BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR. Visitors are kidnapped behind the scenes and get an insight into the working environment of the SEAL LIFE’S aquarist. What treats for the animals are prepared in the kitchen? What does the laboratory look like where the water tests are evaluated? Knowledgeable staff gives visitors an introduction to the aquarium’s technology that is behind the huge pool and provides insights into the animal nursery where animals under special observation are living. NEW in 2017: World of Crabs This themed exhibition shows crustaceans within proximate distance and in full action. Highlight of the different crab species is the impressive Japanese spider crab whose legs can span up to more than 2 metres.  

The Beast operates every hour on the hour from 10.00 - 18.00 out of Pier 83 at 42nd Street and 12th Avenue. Throughout the ride, the captain and crew keep the passengers excited with upbeat rock and roll music and New York-style humor. They’ll have the whole family laughing and screaming with rollercoaster-like twists and turns, pulsating music and a touch of comedy, squirting the kids just for fun. No food or drink is allowed on board.  Tour Length  Approximately 30 minutes. Please note that the Beast does not run when it’s raining.  The BEAST Speedboat is a thrill ride that zooms down the Hudson at up to 45 mph.  Screeches to a halt within 100 feet of the Statue of Liberty for photo ops. Panoramic views of midtown and lower Manhattan as you speed by.  Rockin’ soundtrack.  Fun, interactive BEAST Handlers (captain and crew).  Be aware - you may get wet! Due to the fast, bumpy, and extreme nature of the BEAST ride, you must observe the following Absolutely no pregnant women on board THE BEAST.  Absolutely no people with heart conditions, back injuries, or those susceptible to back injury! All passengers must stay seated while the boat is in motion. Keep your hands and head in the boat while docking. Hold on to hats and sunglasses, they may fly away when THE BEAST gets up to full speed. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items including: cameras, video cameras, cell phones, watches, glasses, or any other electronic devices. RULES AND REGULATIONS  All School & Camp Groups MUST be accompanied by at least 1 adult chaperone (18 years of age or older) for every 10 students/children. Running is not permitted anywhere in the attraction. Food and beverage can be purchased on site. Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited with the exception of special dietary needs. Security and First Aid may be obtained by contacting any staff personnel. Buses are not allowed to park and wait by the entrance once the group has been dropped off. Must be booked 24 hours in advance. For ages 12 and up. Maximum 4 people per party. As a keeper for a day you will help with everything from preparing diets, feeding our animals, as well as training and enrichment with our exotic animals. If you were ever interested in a career working with animals this is your chance to experience it!

Convenient storage lockers are available at the park entrance.  Small: AED45 per day Large: AED55 per day Jumbo: AED60 per day  Ride lockers are available at the Velociraptor, Predator and Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge rides (AED10 per hour). Loose articles will not be permitted on rides. Wheelchair and Stroller Hire: Wheelchairs are available for day hire. The wheelchairs are available on a first come first service basis, and must not pass the entry / exit turnstiles. A valid ID has to be provided to hire the wheelchairs. The ID will be returned to the guest once the wheelchair is returned and is damage free (or the same state as when it was leased).
