The beautiful landscape of the Montserrat mountains isn't far from Barcelona. Breath taking views await you when you take a ride on the rack railway.   Once you've arrived, you'll be able to enjoy a full guided tour which will take you to the Benedictine Monastery and the statue of the Virgin of Montserrat, popularly known as the Moreneta, or Black Madonna. Historical Sites Stone Fort – Dun Formna, built near the highest point on the island, contains O’Brien’s Castle within it’s wall Churches – Cill Gobnait, Cill na n-Seacht Inion and St. Caomhan (St.Kevin’s) Church, the latter is a spectacular ruin, located in the graveyard on Inis Oirr. Over the years, sand has been blown in and around the church to make it appear as if it has sunk into the ground. Recent History – The Plassey Shipwreck is a famous landmark on Inis Oirr, she wrecked here in March 1960. Read more about in in our Blog. Arts Centre – Aras Eanna is the only Arts Centre in the Gaeltacht. Throughout the year therare exhibitions and workshops hosted here. The route starts at the Bournemouth Pier. The Oceanarium is located here, and it is one of the town’s top attractions. Pop in to see their great new penguin beach! Hop-off at Bus Stop 2 to do your shopping at The Bournemouth Square, the actual very centre of the town. The three main shopping roads, Westover Road, Commercial Road, and Old Christchurch Road converge there. And right next to that, do not miss the local Balloon, an extravagant local attraction. Take a stroll around Branksome Chine, and enjoy the view of the sea at Bus Stop 5. Enjoy the sight of the prettiest village as you pass on the double-deckers by Canford Cliffs, or hop off to get to Compton Acres, a sub-tropical garden offering astonishing views. City Sightseeing Bournemouth also takes you to Sandsbank, the upper-end area teaming with the most expensive houses in England and surrounded by the most popular naturist beaches. Hop on and off at Bus Stops 7-8 & 9 to get to see it all! And if you feel curious about the name of the area, hop-off at Lilliput, but do not be disappointed when you fail to find little people around. Get some tranquillity by strolling around the city hall at Bus Stops 7 through 15, while you check-out Poole Old Town and Quay. Before you go, hop-off at The Triangle, well known as the focal point for the local LGBT community, the area has a number or quirky shops and venues appealing and very welcoming to broad-minded visitors.
