Nebbiolo zählt zu den grossartigsten Rebsorten die Italien zu bieten hat und ist im Piemont seit dem 14. Jahrhundert nachgewiesen. Der Name leitet sich wahrscheinlich von Nebbia Nebel ab. Dieser kraftvolle Barolo wurde während zwei Jahren zu 80 Proz. im grossen Eichenfass und zu 20 Proz. im Barrique ausgebaut.
