Thanks to the revolutionary direct laminate membrane, the water is not trapped between the outer shell and the membrane, but it runs directly off the jacket. Raintex DL Conventional systems absorb rainwater. The water strikes through the non-waterproof outer layer of the jacket and is then blocked by the membrane. Water is trapped between these two layers, so your coat gets soaked and feels clammy. The remaining water forms a film on the membrane, which is at the expense of the breathability. The jacket is also heavy and it takes a long time before the coat is dried again. And what about the foul smell the next morning? Features
