Sie gesellen sich zu anderen Stars in der Party Area.   Tower Bridge Ausstellung Vor über 100 Jahren bauten die Viktorianer eine Brücke die zu einer der berühmtesten Attraktionen Londons wurde. Obere Fußgängerwege wurden gebaut damit Menschen die Themse überqueren können während die Brücke hochgezogen wird und große Schiffe an der Tower Bridge vorbeifahren können. Heute dienen diese Fußwege als Aussichtsgalerie, die den Besuchern die spektakulärsten Blicke auf eine sich stets wandelnde Londoner Skyline schenkt. Fußgängerwege & Ausstellung: Besucher betreten die Tower Bridge Ausstellung über den North Tower. Sie werden dann mit dem Aufzug auf die Spitze des Towers gebracht (47 Meter über der Themse) wo sie die einzigartige Gelegenheit haben, das Stahlgerüst der Brücke von innen zu sehen. Ein kleiner Film erklärt die Geschichte und Herkunft der Brücke und es besteht die Möglichkeit, von beiden überdachten Fußwegen aus die spektakulären Ausblicke zu bewundern. Auf dem östlichen Übergang gibt es eine fantastische Sicht auf die Docklands und vom westlichen Übergang können Sie das neue GLA Gebäude sehen, den Tower of London, St Paul’s, die Stadt, das Becken von London und Big Ben und das London Eye in der Entfernung. Interaktive Computerstände und grafische Tafeln erklären den Besuchern die Bedeutung der Aussichten und geben mehr Informationen zur Geschichte und zum Bau der Brücke. Das interaktive Material und die Grafiktafeln sind in sieben Sprachen verfasst und es ist auch für die Videoshow ein Audioaufhänger für Schwerhörige vorhanden. Im South Tower gibt es einen weiteren Film zu sehen, vor dem Abstieg für einen kleinen Spaziergang zum historischen Maschinenraum, inbegriffen in Ihrem Ticketpreis. Viktorianische Maschinenräume: Sie geben faszinierende Einblicke in das Konstruktionswesen des späten 19. Jahrhunderts.  Die großen und schön erhaltenen, kohlenbetriebenen Maschinen wurden zur Fertigstellung der Tower Bridge 1894 installiert, und genutzt um bis 1976 Tausende der Klappbrückenhebungen zu ermöglichen . Obwohl die Hebevorrichtungen heute mit Elektrizität funktionieren, sind die originalen Dampfmaschinen immer noch vorhanden. Die Maschinenräume geben Besuchern die Möglichkeit mit Modellen zu experimentieren, die die Technologie der Brücke demonstrieren. Kew Gardens, is a World Heritage Site located in 121 hectares of stunning vistas with six magnificent glasshouses set in a beautiful landscape beside the River Thames between Richmond and KEW in south-west London. Kew Gardens represents more than 250 years of historical gardens. It is home to a remarkable collection of over 30,000 types of plants from all over the world that range from the decorative to the peculiar. Kew Gardens provide opportunities for public enjoyment and enrichment and the behind-the-scenes scientific work helps ensure a sustainable future for plants and people. In the summer of 2004, Kew's determination to make serious botany great fun for children was demonstrated with the opening of 'Climbers and Creepers'. Bringing a new use to an old cycad house by White Peaks, Climbers and Creepers engages children from around 3-9 years in the pleasures of learning more about plants and their relationships with animals and people. Apart from the sheer beauty and tranquillity of the garden's landscapes Kew offers a wonderful day out for all, whether horticulturally, historically or botanically inclined.
