Celebrate with us the unbelievable beauty living in our oceans, lakes and rivers in a new special exhibit at Shedd Aquarium: Underwater Beauty.Get a glimpse of the grandeur beneath the waves as 100 species from around the world come together in an evocative new space. What is beauty? Spark your curiosity as you see all the ways beauty moves and coexists. Watch sea jellies pulse, eels ribbon and a rainbow come alive with reef fishes. Feel the rhythms, embrace the colors and savor the patterns found only underwater. Experience a world worth celebrating – and saving. Waters of the World Travel the world in 80 habitats. Dive into Oceans, from coastal kelp forests to the seafloor. Explore the self-contained ecosystems of Islands and Lakes. Visit Rivers—big and small—and learn more about our local waters in the new At Home on the Great Lakes exhibit. Meet hundreds of amazing animals, from tiny mantella frogsto a a giant octopus, from a Grand Cayman blue iguana to Nile knifefish, and from moon jellies to sea stars. We even have map turtles, in case you get lost. Caribbean Reef Take a 360-degree tour of an underwater reef community. Follow a green sea turtle. Peek at a moray eel in a rocky crevice. Watch regal rays glide by. Get eye-to-eye with parrot fish and sharks. Visit Caribbean Reef, Shedd’s award-winning 90,000-gallon circular habitat in the grand rotunda. Amazon Rising Take an exotic journey in the Amazon, home to one-third of all living things. Watch out for anacondas and piranhas, spiders, rays and a camouflaged caiman. In churning river channels, still lakes and even flooded treetops look for tetras, turtles and fruit-eating fish called tambaqui. See how the region’s animals, plants and people adapt to the water’s dramatic annual rise and fall. Abbott Oceanarium The Abbott Oceanarium immerses you in the vibrant coastal ecosystem of beluga whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, sea otters and sea lions. You’ll also find a host of fishes and invertebrates that make their homes where freshwater flows into the ocean or where tides turn seascapes to landscapes and back again each day. Use our self-guided map to discover how animals are linked to each other, their homes and you. Polar Play Zone Kids have a place at Shedd that they can call their own—Polar Play Zone. It’s cool as ice and twice as nice! The penguins think so, too. Play! Splash! Pretend! What would you like to be? A sleek sliding penguin? A deep-sea explorer? How about both? In Polar Play Zone, you can slip into a penguin suit and try being a bird in the Icy South play area. From there, head to the Icy North to explore the belugas’ Arctic waters in a kid-sized submarine. Don’t forget to shake hands—or is it arms?—with colorful sea stars in the touch pools. In Polar Play Zone, you’ll learn about polar opposites—big and small, fast and slow, shallow and deep, even north and south—while you play. The Oceanarium Aquatic Presentation​ is included however based on available seating and remaining show times at the time of guest arrival. Stingray Touch (seasonal experience) is included. Open late May through October. 4D Experience is not included however the 4D experience tickets may be purchased at the theatre for $3.00 per -person  

Tanque Interactivo de Tiburones y Rayas (Fundación The Trust Family) Los visitantes de esta exposición podrán alcanzar y tocar suavemente la parte posterior de las rayas gavilán, de las rayas del Atlántico y de los tiburones, mientras nadan con gracia a través del agua cristalina. Foca Común del Atlántico Los visitantes podrán disfrutar de las focas del Atlántico en su exhibición en la plaza del acuario, antes de comprar las entradas. Vea las focas nadar, jugar y descansar. Aprenda más sobre ellas y vea algunos de sus comportamientos mientras trabajan con los entrenadores sus entrenamientos libres a lo largo del día. Centro Interactivo Planeta Azul Esta nueva exposición es parte de la reciente reforma integral del acuario, una transformación para el siglo XXI. Esta área de exhibición presenta los serios desafíos a los que se enfrentan los océanos y muestra el liderazgo mundial del acuario en la búsqueda de soluciones con una combinación de pantallas interactivas, presentaciones representativas y exposiciones de pequeños animales vivos. Idiomas Hay guías del acuario en español, mandarín, alemán, francés, italiano y portugués de Brasil, y están disponibles en la recepción del acuario bajo petición. Duración Haga planes para pasar de 1 ½ a 2 horas en el Acuario. Si quiere visitar también IMAX film, tendrá una duración de 45 minutos más.   EXPOSICIONES DESTACADAS Las Ciencia de los Tiburones ​Adéntrese en lo más profundo de la Ciencia de los Tiburones con esta nueva exposición del Acuario de Nueva Inglaterra. Vea de cerca algunos de los pequeños pero poderosos tiburones de todo el mundo. Las actividades prácticas destacan la increíble adaptación de los tiburones que los ha hecho los reyes del mar, y los tanques táctiles les permitirán ver (¡y sentir!) estas adaptaciones en acción. El Acuario de Nueva Inglaterra es el lugar perfecto para descubrir que estos magníficos predadores oceánicos son todavía más increíbles de lo que  pensaba. Tentacles Take Hold - ¡NUEVO! ¡Prepárese para verse envuelto en tentáculos! Busque el pulpo gigante del Pacífico en su hábitat, recientemente ampliado, lleno de especies que se encuentran en las profundidades heladas del noroeste del Pacífico. Tenga cuidado con la sepia y su tinta, las medusas… Disfrute de vistas 360º de un espectacular arrecife de coral del Caribe con más animales que nunca. En el 2013, el acuario acabó de terminar una reforma que ha renovado su edificio principal hasta la médula, y el icónico Tanque Oceánico Gigante se ha sometido a una renovación de arriba a abajo, una transformación para el siglo XXI. Hoy en día la nueva exposición cuenta con más de 2.000 animales, un arrecife de coral revitalizado y nuevos espacios de exposición en la parte superior. ​Tanque Oceánico Gigante ​Disfrute de las espectaculares vistas de 360 grados, del arrecife de coral de cuatro pisos rebosante de animales. En 2013 el icónico Tanque Gigante paso por una transformación de pies a cabeza que incluye ventanas con visión cristalina, un vibrante y revitalizado arrecife de coral con más de 1.000 peces, y el Yawkey Coral Reef Center en lo alto de la exposición. El colorido arrecife de coral caribeño es el hogar de tortugas, anguilas y cientos de peces tropicales de todos los tamaños. Colonia de Pingüinos El Acuario es el hogar de más de 80 pingüinos viviendo en la bulliciosa colonia de pingüinos que rodea el Tanque Oceánico Gigante. ¡Véalos nadar, comer, acicalarse y jugar!

A destacar de la visita: AquaDom AquaDom es el tanque cilíndrico más largo del mundo, que contiene más de 1 millón de litros de agua, arrecifes de coral y cientos de peces - es el final perfecto para una visita divertida a  SEA LIFE Berlín. AquaDom fue construido por Union Investment Real Estate GmbH y la gestión biológica recae sobre Berlin Society for Large Aquariums (BGG). 1.500 peces de 97 especies diferentes están esperando ser descubiertos mientras monta en el ascensor de cristal por AquaDom. Los visitantes tendrán la oportunidad de contemplar como limpian AquaDom 3 o 4 personas a diario, de lunes a sábado entre las 11:00 y las 13:00h. La alimentación de los animales se realiza a diario a las 14:00h (excepto los miércoles) - ¡cada día sirven 8 kg de comida! - Más de 5.000 criaturas deslumbrantes en 35 pantallas en 1.500 metros cuadrados. - Acérquese a visitar las estrellas de mar, a los caballitos de mar, las rayas y los tiburones. - ¡Único! Un impresionante viaje a través del tanque AquaDom en un ascensor de cristal con 1 millón de litros de agua y 1.500 peces. - Caminar a través dl laberinto de espejos de Neptuno. - Piscina Interactiva Rockpool: cangrejos y estrellas de mar. - Alimentación y charlas a diario.

Come and meet the fascinating lifelike wax figures in an interactive attraction, impressive sets and costumes. Nowhere else you will get so many selfies with your stars. A tour through the 2.500 square meters of the exhibition shows you different themed areas like history, politics, sports, music and Hollywood Hills. Numerous interactive elements, actors and impressive sets makes ithis tour educative and entertaining. The lifelike wax figures made  Madame Tussauds world famous. At Madame Tussauds, more than 120 national and interantional celebrities and the big legends of contemporary history attract thousands of visitor every day. Please note, that children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.

The Principe Felipe Science Museum features a series of fascinating exhibits dedicated to themes such as climate change and human DNA. There is also a children’s area that studies aspects about natural habitats, pollution and outer space. The section on ‘magical chemistry’ is well worth checking out while there is an entire level devoted to great scientists. Sports fans will love the section devoted to the city’s most successful football club, Valencia CF, and the Marvel superheroes exhibit attracts young and old in equal measure.  At L'Oceanogràfic explore the world’s major seas and oceans, with each building dedicated to a different maritime environment. Marvel at the majesty of the Mediterranean. Wander through the wild Wetlands. Travel through the Temperate and Tropical Seas. Admire the awesome Antarctic and Arctic Oceans. Revel in the Red Sea and discover the delights of the Dolphinarium. There are more than 45,000 creatures from 500 species, including beluga whales, jellyfish, penguins, sea lions, seals, sharks, rays, starfish, walruses and many, many more. During the summer, there are special night-time shows from 8pm to midnight. 

Convenient storage lockers are available at the park entrance.  Small: AED45 per day Large: AED55 per day Jumbo: AED60 per day  Ride lockers are available at the Velociraptor, Predator and Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge rides (AED10 per hour). Loose articles will not be permitted on rides. Wheelchair and Stroller Hire: Wheelchairs are available for day hire. The wheelchairs are available on a first come first service basis, and must not pass the entry / exit turnstiles. A valid ID has to be provided to hire the wheelchairs. The ID will be returned to the guest once the wheelchair is returned and is damage free (or the same state as when it was leased).
