Step inside Abaco Mansion and go back in time to colonial Tenerife. This museum is located in a historic hacienda that is steeped in the fascinating and at times tragic history of the island. Visiting the luxurious mansion and its beautifully landscaped grounds on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz will give you an insight into the lives of the descendants of the conquistadors who overthrew the native Guanches and enslaved them to work on their estates. The current mansion, which was built in the 18th century by the Benitez de Lugo family, has passed through many hands since then, including an English family during Victorian times and a Czechoslovakian World War II hero. You will see the opulence in which the island’s nobility lived: immaculately preserved antiques blend in seamlessly with traditional Canarian décor. The tenor of the original construction has been respected throughout though it has been equipped with contemporary amenities and services. As a living museum, it retains an emblematic style and is preserved by the local authorities as a Building of Cultural Interest Abaco is a relaxing way to learn about Tenerife’s past and to travel through the centuries. As well as the museum, there are performances of Canarian folklore.

Medieval Banquet he Entertainment The music is drawn from the Medieval and Renaissance courts of Europe and covers the periods of the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. Our musicians are at the forefront of a reemergence of Medieval English and European musical culture. The music is robust, engaging and emotive, bringing to life 800 year old musical manuscripts that have long been the domain of specialists and enthusiasts. Medieval Banquet Heritage All this takes place with the history of 1000 years beneath your feet! Our production pays homage to this history and notably to the Knights of Portsoken, a group of 13 knights in the retinue of 10th century English King, Edgar the Peaceful. The king gifted to them this very land upon which the banquet sits in recognition of performing three acts of bravery, one above ground, one below ground and one in the water, or so the legend goes. Each evening during the banquet our knights assemble to preserve the history of this ancient rite with an elaborate display of swordfighting There are many opportunities to dance with the cast, sing, bang your fists on the table and cry for your wench to bring you more food or drink! The White Tower Currently hosting the Power House exhibition, about the various national institutions founded at the Tower of London, the White Tower is recognised as one of the most important historic buildings in the world. It has become an iconic symbol for Britain and London and is a must do on any trip to the Tower of London. Entry to The White Tower  is included in the Tower of London ticket price. The Crown Jewels The Jewel house at the Tower of London houses the world famous Crown Jewels. 23,578 precious stones and gems make up the Crown Jewels and include the world’s most famous diamond ‘ The Great Star of Africa’. Entry to The Crown Jewels is included in the Tower of London ticket price. The Yeoman Warder tours The Yeoman Warders, also known as beefeaters, are the public face of the Tower of London. As well as guarding the Tower and Crown Jewels they also provide tours for visitor where they regale you with tales from the Tower. Yeoman Warder Tours are included in the Tower of London Ticket Price The Royal Beasts The last thing you’d expect to see at the Tower of London would be Lions, Tigers, Elephants and Polar Bears, but for over 600 years the Royal Menagerie played host to these and many more. Discover their extraordinary stories and what life was like for them at the tower. Entry to The Royal Menagerie is included in the Tower of London ticket price. The Prisoners Exhibition Aside from the Crown Jewels the Tower of London is probably best known for being a prison. Prisoners have been at the Tower almost since it was built and the new interactive displays in the Prisoners exhibition help children and adults explore their stories. Entry to The Prisoners Exhibition is included in the Tower of London ticket price. The Ravens ‘the kingdom and the Tower will fall if the six ravens ever leave the Tower of London’, well according to legend anyway. Whether this is true or not the ravens have become on of the Tower’s most famous sites, just make sure you see at least 6 when you visit! The Tower Green Believe it or not being executed inside the Tower of London was considered a privilege for those of high rank. The Tower Green contains a permanent memorial for those ‘lucky’ enough to be executed there. The Medieval Palace Being the oldest part of the Tower of London, the Medieval Palace contains amazing interiors that you won’t see anywhere else. here you can experience what life might have been like in a luxurious medieval household. Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as the administrative headquarters of the Royal Household. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. Today the Buckingham Palace State Rooms are used extensively by Her Majesty The Queen and Members of the Royal Family to receive and entertain their guests on State, ceremonial and official occasions. When The Queen makes her annual visit to Scotland, the Palace's nineteen state rooms are open to visitors. What there is to see? The Buckingham Palace State Rooms form the heart of the working palace and are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection - paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto; sculpture by Canova; exquisite examples of Sèvres porcelain; and some of the finest English and French furniture. The Garden Described as a 'walled oasis in the middle of London', the Palace's garden is home to thirty different species of bird and more than 350 different wild flowers, some extremely rare. Visitors end their tour with a walk along the south side of the garden, with splendid views of the west front of the Palace and the famous lake. Changing of the Guard The Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place at 11:30 daily from April until the end of July and on alternate days for the rest of the year, weather permitting. The new guards arrive at the forecourt of the Palace at 11:30 from Wellington Barracks. The journey takes about 5 minutes and the soldiers are accompanied by a band. The ceremony is conducted on the Palace forecourt and takes approximately forty minutes to complete. San Francisco Museum Of Modern Art: All visitors (including members and visitors 18 and under, who always receive free admission) require a ticket so we can ensure the museum does not exceed capacity. Order tickets in advance for all members of your party so everyone can enter the galleries at the same time. No eating, drinking, smoking, or sleeping is permitted in the Museum. Backpacks may not be carried on your back; they must be carried or worn on your front at all times. Hornblower Classic Cable Cars: Hop aboard a motorized Cable Car in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. As the historical vehicle makes its way down Columbus Street through North Beach and Little Italy, listen to live narration about San Francisco and its notable sights. Cruise through Chinatown, Nob Hill and Union Square on your way to your first stop on the walking tour at Civic center/City Hall. With its Beaux-Arts monument to the City, it showcases the beautiful movement that epitomized the high-minded American Renaissance of the 1880s to 1917. Once aboard the Cable Car again you will head through the lower Haight district on your way to your 2nd stop on the walking tour at Alamo Square Park. You will get the chance to be up close and personal with the world famous “Painted Ladies” as seen in the opening credits on the show Full House! Back on the Cable Car we will head down Fell Street toward our 3rd stop on the tour in the Haight and Ashbury district. You will jump off on Haight Street in the center of the 1960’s hippie movement to explore exclusive boutiques, high-end vintage clothing shops, second hand stores, Internet cafés and hip restaurants and bars. All aboard as we now travel through Golden Gate Park, The Richmond district, Sea Cliff and down the coastline as we get ready to jump off at our last but certainly not least stop of the day, The Golden Gate Bridge! The Cable Car arrives at the Golden Gate Bridge, an engineering marvel built across San Francisco Bay during the depression opening in 1937. You’ll step foot onto the famous suspension bridge and listen as your guide shares stories of its art deco structure. Re-board the Cable Car and head back over the Golden Gate Bridge and onward toward the Presidio! Traverse Pacific Heights, one of San Francisco’s most affluent neighborhoods, and take advantage of photo ops as you pass by the home featured in the blockbuster film ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’! Before we drop-off back at the starting point, the historical vehicle makes its way past Ghirardelli Square, home of the namesake chocolates!
