Enjoy a full day tour taking in some of the most dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands. Visit Glencoe and have the chance to enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness and a visit to Urquhart Castle.  From Glasgow you will travel north before making a refreshment stop on the shores of Loch Lomond. Travelling the length of the loch, you will climb up into the Highlands, over the unique, dramatic landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to majestic Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most haunting glens, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.  Continuing via Loch Linnhe, you'll stop in the Fort William area for lunch, then journey onwards, passing beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, before you enter the natural beauty of the Great Glen. Travelling on, you can admire the Caledonian Canal and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, enjoying spectacular views of Loch Ness as you drive along the shoreline to Urquhart Castle.  Loch Ness, 24 miles long and 700 feet deep, is most famous for sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as “Nessie”. You will spend 2 hours at Loch Ness, where you can choose to explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle* and learn of its history inside the modern visitor centre, and also take an Award Winning Jacobite cruise* across the loch.  Passing through Inverness, Capital of the Highlands, you will start your return journey home. Cross the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl, with an evening refreshment stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, en route back to Glasgow.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA. Parrot Cove Times: Daily 11:00 to 17:00 Located at the farthest tip of Jungle Island, Parrot Cove is Miami’s only private beach. This sophisticated tropical beach playground offers breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami and is exclusively for the use of park guests. After getting up-close to some of the world’s most fascinating animals, park guests can head to Parrot Cove for more adventures under the sun. At this beach oasis located at the tip of Jungle Island, visitors can relax in lounge chairs and then cool off by wading into Biscayne Bay. With the cost of admission to Jungle Island, the entrance fee to Parrot Cove is free. Be sure to stop by Parrot Cove to stay cool and relaxed in between Jungle Island's fascinating animal shows. Manu Encounter Times: Daily 11:00 to 17:00 Location: Manu Fashioned after the clay cliffs in Manu, Peru. This is an interactive experience with Squirrel Monkeys, free-flying macaws and parrots as well as other exotic animals. A brief presentation on the habits and habitats of these animals will be given by one of our Animal Care Trainers who will remain present to answer questions relating to this exhibit. Everglades Habitat & Walk Make your way across a true replica of the Florida Everglades, complete with beautiful flora and fauna from the region. Feed our birds around the park Many of our magnificent birds enjoy being fed by you, our guests. You’ll find them along our jungle paths with food dispensers at each location. Interact with Trainers and Animals As you wander through the park, you’ll encounter our trainers who host an assortment of animals. Touch, ask questions, and make friends. Penguin Exhibit Times: See penguins after each Wild Adventures Show Location: Serpentarium Our South African penguins are so adorable. Come see our fluffy little friends swim and waddle around their penguin pool. Playground It’s your time to monkey around. Frolic on slides and crawl tubes. Tortoise Exhibit You’ll be astonished at the size of these giant tortoises. Some males grow to 500 pounds and can live for 150 years.

Kensington Palace, Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey: Our tour begins with a panoramic drive up to Kensington Palace, former home of Diana, Princess of Wales. Well see the Royal Albert Hall and Albert Memorial before heading down to Trafalgar Square, along Whitehall, past the Prime Minister's Residence at Downing Street and around Parliament Square, where we'll see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and, of course, Westminster Abbey. Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard: We head to St James' Park and Buckingham Palace to see the colourful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard. Accompanied by a military band, a detachment of the Queen's Foot Guard march to Buckingham Palace in their bearskins and red tunics, and a change with the Old Guard. The tour finishes at Trafalgar Square at around 12.00pm. Your guide will be happy to give you suggestions for lunch and transportation back to your hotel. Alternatively, why not visit the site of the last great Royal Wedding, St Paul's Cathedral - join our afternoon City of London tour, departing Trafalgar Square at 1pm. Occasionally there may not be a Changing of the Guard, on these occasions we will visit Horseguards Parade.

After departing San Francisco, you’ll head through California’s capital city, Sacramento, through the Sierra foothills and into the famous Gold Rush Country, cresting a high mountain pass within the Sierra Nevada. Then we’ll wind our way through large pine forests, before dramatically descending into South Lake Tahoe. Afternoon:  In the evening, we’ll settle into our centrally located hotel and then head out to happy hour with the Apres Ski crowd at the base of Heavenly Mountain Resort before a comfy night’s rest.   SAMPLE ITINERARY – DAY 2 (FRIDAY) SOUTH LAKE TAHOE: CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE All Day:  While masses of people are piling into their cars to head to the mountains, you’ll be on the first lift up to carve the groomers, or to get fresh tracks in that Heavenly powder! Don’t worry if you’re not really into skiing, our guides will offer the opportunity to go out on a fabulously scenic drive on the mountain roads surrounding Lake Tahoe, or maybe even a snowshoe adventure! If you’re really just here for the casinos, they’re open 24 hours, and you’re welcome to see if Lady Luck is on your side all day if you like! Don’t want to miss out on any of it? No problem, we’re flexible: our guides know their stuff, and we’ll help you fit in a scenic drive in the morning, get yourself a half day ticket on the mountain, and then hit the casinos all night long!   SAMPLE ITINERARY – DAY 3 (SATURDAY) SOUTH LAKE TAHOE TO SQUAW VALLEY & TRUCKEE, CA Morning:  We’ll hit the road early this morning and head toward historic Tahoe City taking in views of Emerald Bay before heading toward the famous Squaw Valley Resort. If you’re heading up onto this epic ski and snowboarding destination today, you’ll be glad if you dusted off the cobwebs on Heavenly yesterday. This place is the real deal, where you can often see extreme athletes pushing the envelope, soaring from the cliffs as you ride up the famous KT-22 Express. Make sure you bring your swimsuit too: the High Camp Pool and Hot Tub high on the resort is open for business…all winter long! This side of the lake also offers amazing snowshoeing or cross country skiing opportunities as well. Once again, you’ll be offered the choice to head up on the ski hill, or we’ll take you out on the trails through Stanislaus National Forest or maybe a snowshoe hike near the Donner Memorial State Park and explore the history of the ill-fated pioneers of the Donner Party as they struggled to travel west in their wagons and became stranded in the winter of 1846-47.
