The Royal Albert Hall was built to fulfil the vision of Prince Albert (Queen Victoria's consort) of a 'Central Hall' that would be used to promote understanding and appreciation of the Arts and Sciences and would stand at the heart of the South Kensington estate, surrounded by museums and places of learning. The Hall is a Grade I Listed building; and has been in continuous use since it was opened in March 1871. It is a registered charity held in trust for the nation and is financially self sufficient, receiving no funding from central or local government. The Hills Course is the Lumine golf course that gives players the most spectacular views. The course, near Cap Salou, runs through leafy woods of white pine and extensive plantations of olive and carob trees that climax in incredible views over the sea. Respect and the integration of the course in the terrain have created an attractive, varied course, whose length complies with the regulations for high-level competition with long fairways to develop your best game. We cater for all sizes of groups from the single players on holiday to the larger groups and societies playing mulitple courses. The most important of the Lumine Golf Courses is that they have won the Audubon International Gold Signature Sanctuary Certificate. This award recognises the environmentally sustainable model of the Lumine Golf Club and its responsible management of water.
