Your Journey: Take off from Queenstown, and fly above the rugged backcountry of Central Otago, before heading westward to where the glacial fed rivers empty into Lake Wakatipu. Diamond Tree This 51 metre tall Karri tree has been operating as a fire lookout for over 70 years, following its construction in the 1940s. If you are up for a challenge, have a go at climbing up along the metal spikes of this magnificent tree – the breathtaking view from the top of the lookout is absolutely worth it! Valley of the Giants Get up close and personal with these 400 year old giants of the south-west Tingle Forest Region. With a maximum highest point of 40 metres, this 600 metre treetop canopy and gradually elevated walkway is suitable for all ages. Ancient Empire Featuring a grove of tingle trees the Ancient Empire is a picturesque walk, be in awe at the sheer size of these giants, with some of the trees circumferences spanning up to 16 metres. William Bay View the famously stunning coastal scenery and windswept rocky shores of William Bay. Kodja Place Rich in cultural history the Kodja Place Visitor Centre features an informative display and insight into the traditional Noongar history of the area and their life as a tight knit community.

We even have map turtles, in case you get lost. Caribbean Reef Take a 360-degree tour of an underwater reef community. Follow a green sea turtle. Peek at a moray eel in a rocky crevice. Watch regal rays glide by. Get eye-to-eye with parrot fish and sharks. Visit Caribbean Reef, Shedd’s award-winning 90,000-gallon circular habitat in the grand rotunda. Amazon Rising Take an exotic journey in the Amazon, home to one-third of all living things. Watch out for anacondas and piranhas, spiders, rays and a camouflaged caiman. Abbott Oceanarium The Abbott Oceanarium immerses you in the vibrant coastal ecosystem of beluga whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, sea otters and sea lions. Use our self-guided map to discover how animals are linked to each other, their homes and you. Polar Play Zone Kids have a place at Shedd that they can call their own—Polar Play Zone. It’s cool as ice and twice as nice! The penguins think so, too. Play! Splash! Pretend! What would you like to be? A sleek sliding penguin? A deep-sea explorer? How about both? In Polar Play Zone, you can slip into a penguin suit and try being a bird in the Icy South play area. From there, head to the Icy North to explore the belugas’ Arctic waters in a kid-sized submarine. Don’t forget to shake hands—or is it arms?—with colorful sea stars in the touch pools. How does Share Ride work? If you are going to JFK airport: The driver picks up passengers in order from the destinations furthest from the airport to the closest. Your pick-up time will depend on the relationship between your location and how many other share passengers will be picked up and their respective locations. If you are the furthest away from the airport, you will be picked up relatively early to your flight time and will have to visit other locations to pick up share passengers before arriving at the airport. We guarantee that you will arrive to the airport on time. If you are leaving from JFK airport: Simply proceed to the Ground Transportation Desk in your arriving terminal and present the Go Airlink NYC voucher you printed. They also have FREE courtesy phones in every terminal at the baggage claim area. The driver picks up passengers by terminal. Please understand that if you are at the first terminal for pick up, you will have priority seating in the vehicle but it may take time to travel to the other terminals to pick up share passengers before leaving the airport. After all of the passengers have been picked up from their respective terminals, the driver will drop off passengers in order of the closest destination point to the furthest. If your destination is the furthest away from the airport, you will have to wait for the other share ride passengers to be dropped off at their respective destinations before arriving at your final point. The old port in Fira is accessible only: By cable car: It is perfectly safe, it consists of 6 wagons and has capacity of 6 persons per wagon. During high season (April-October) it runs every 20 minutes. Single tickets cost €5 for adults and €2.50 for children. On foot: You would need to walk down the famous 600 steps of the traditional road that connects the old port with the town of Fira. The descend takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on your physical condition. By donkey: The donkeys used to be the traditional transportation way of the island. They go up and down to the old port of Fira frequently. A single ride costs around €5 per person and takes about 20 minutes. Most people prefer to take the donkey on their way up.
