Arcelomittal Orbit + The Slide The Slide The Slide was created by Belgian artist Carsten Höller at the invitation of Sir Anish Kapoor, designer of the ArcelorMittal Orbit. It is a unique collaboration between two of the world’s leading artists and a major new art installation for London, as well as yet another reason to visit Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – fast becoming London’s most exciting playground ArcelorMittal Orbit Feel the ground disappear as you make the short journey by lift, 80m to the top viewing platform of the ArcelorMittal Orbit where you will experience a show-stopping panorama. Take in a totally new perspective of London with views of up to 20 miles into the city and over the parklands, waterways and world-class sporting venues of London’s newest Park, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The wave-shaped roof of the Aquatics Centre can be seen in its full glory, now the temporary spectator wings have been removed. The beautiful landscape of the Montserrat mountains isn't far from Barcelona. Breath taking views await you when you take a ride on the rack railway. Once you've arrived, you'll be able to enjoy a full guided tour which will take you to the Benedictine Monastery and the statue of the Virgin of Montserrat, popularly known as the Moreneta, or Black Madonna. During your visit you'll be serenaded by the magical voices of the world-renowned boys' choir, the Escolania de Montserrat.
