Als Nachfolger des Range Rover Classic wurde für das zwischenzeitlich zum Youngtimer gereifte Fahrzeug eine optionale Luftfederung mit Niveauregulierung angeboten. Für das Luftfahrwerk aller Varianten der genannten P38a-Modelle bieten wir unsere passende AEROSUS Luftfeder für beide Seiten der Vorderachse an. Das Ersatzteil ist brandneu, einbaufertig und liegt in Erstausrüsterqualität vor. Aufgaben der Luftfeder im Luftfahrwerk Bei luftgefederten Fahrzeugen, wie dem Range Rover P38a, übernimmt die Luftfeder zwei wesentliche Aufgaben im Luftfederungssystem: Für jedermann schnell ersichtlich ist, dass die Luftfeder für die Federung verantwortlich ist. Daneben ist sie integraler Bestandteil der Niveauregelung Ihres britischen Geländewagens. Die Niveauregelung passt die Bodenfreiheit des Fahrzeugs ständig auf dasselbe Niveau an. Mit anderen Worten, die Fahrzeughöhe wird beständig gehalten, sodass immer der gleiche Abstand zum Untergrund vorhanden ist. Bei erhöhter Zuladung oder wenn Sie einen Anhänger angekoppelt haben, passt die Niveauregulierung die Höhe des Fahrzeuges automatisch an. Der Luftfederungskompressor läuft zu lange, wenn durch die Undichtigkeit der Luftfeder Druckluft aus dem Luftfahrwerk entweichen kann. Da der Kompressor ständig das Luftdefizit ausgleichen will, schaltet er nicht ausreichend ab. Er überhitzt und geht schlussendlich kaputt. Es ist sinnvoll, die Luftfedern beider Achsseiten gemeinsam auszutauschen. Verschleiß tritt gewöhnlich nicht asynchron auf und Luftfedern müssen daher meist zeitnah getauscht werden.
