Mit dem 7er der Baureihe F01 stellte BMW 2008 die neueste Version seines Spitzenmodells vor. Wieder hat der Premiumhersteller seine Limousine mit dem modernsten Zubehör auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik ausgerüstet, darunter viele Assistenzsysteme. Denn was neu und gut ist, baut BMW zuerst in sein Topmodell ein. Das Gleiche gilt für die Langversion (Typ F02) sowie die Hybridversion. Die hieß die ersten beiden Jahre nach der Einführung 2010 noch F04, später F01 LCI bzw. F02 LCI. Alle Fahrzeuge wurden optional mit Luftfederung und Niveauregulierung an der Hinterachse geliefert. Das hier angebotene Ersatzteil ist das Kompressor-Ventil für die hintere Luftfederung. Es passt auf den BMW 7er, und zwar auf die Ausführungen F01, F02 sowie F04 der Baujahre 2008 bis 2015. Die Ventileinheit ist sofort einbaufertig, ohne zusätzlich benötigte Teile. Das Kompressor-Ventil, auch Doppelventil genannt, befindet sich unten am Heck des Fahrzeuges direkt hinter der Stoßstange, auf der Luftversorgungsanlage eingebaut. Kompressor führt über Ventile die Niveauregulierung durch Der Kompressor dient dazu, die beiden Luftfedern an der Hinterachse mit Druckluft zu versorgen. Diese Funktion wird zum Beispiel bei der Niveauregulierung benötigt. Wenn Sie an den BMW einen Anhänger koppeln, drückt die Last auf der Anhängerkupplung das Auto hinten runter. Durch die Niveauregulierung erhöht der Kompressor dann automatisch das Luftvolumen in den Federn, sodass der Wagen weiterhin waagerecht steht. Das Kompressor-Ventil dient dazu, die Druckluft auf die beiden Federn zu verteilen und die Leitungen je nach Bedarf zu öffnen oder zu sperren. Ein Kompressor-Ventil ist, wie jede andere Autokomponente, dem Verschleiß und der Alterung ausgesetzt. Nach jahrelangem Betrieb und Tausenden von Schaltzyklen kann es an einem Magnetventil zu einem Defekt kommen. Der Austausch des Ventils ist dann relativ günstig, verglichen mit den Kosten für einen neuen Kompressor. Eine Ventileinheit bedient beide Luftfedern an der Hinterachse Unser Kompressor-Magnetventil für den BMW 7er der Baureihe F01 funktioniert nach dem 2/2-Wegeventil-Prinzip. Die Ventileinheit ist ein Doppelventil. Es besteht aus 2 elektrisch gesteuerten Magnetventilen, hat 3 Druckluftanschlüsse und arbeitet in 2 Stellungen. Die Druckluftzuleitung mit dem Durchmesser von 6 mm nutzen beide Ventile gemeinsam. Die beiden 4 mm großen Ausgangsdruckluftanschlüsse verteilen die Druckluft vom Kompressor in die beiden Luftfedern. Dabei ist jede Seite farblich gekennzeichnet: Die linke Luftfeder wird vom roten und die rechte vom blauen Anschluss gespeist.
