Sie gesellen sich zu anderen Stars in der Party Area.   Tower Bridge Ausstellung Vor über 100 Jahren bauten die Viktorianer eine Brücke die zu einer der berühmtesten Attraktionen Londons wurde. Obere Fußgängerwege wurden gebaut damit Menschen die Themse überqueren können während die Brücke hochgezogen wird und große Schiffe an der Tower Bridge vorbeifahren können. Heute dienen diese Fußwege als Aussichtsgalerie, die den Besuchern die spektakulärsten Blicke auf eine sich stets wandelnde Londoner Skyline schenkt. Fußgängerwege & Ausstellung: Besucher betreten die Tower Bridge Ausstellung über den North Tower. Sie werden dann mit dem Aufzug auf die Spitze des Towers gebracht (47 Meter über der Themse) wo sie die einzigartige Gelegenheit haben, das Stahlgerüst der Brücke von innen zu sehen. Ein kleiner Film erklärt die Geschichte und Herkunft der Brücke und es besteht die Möglichkeit, von beiden überdachten Fußwegen aus die spektakulären Ausblicke zu bewundern. Auf dem östlichen Übergang gibt es eine fantastische Sicht auf die Docklands und vom westlichen Übergang können Sie das neue GLA Gebäude sehen, den Tower of London, St Paul’s, die Stadt, das Becken von London und Big Ben und das London Eye in der Entfernung. Interaktive Computerstände und grafische Tafeln erklären den Besuchern die Bedeutung der Aussichten und geben mehr Informationen zur Geschichte und zum Bau der Brücke. Das interaktive Material und die Grafiktafeln sind in sieben Sprachen verfasst und es ist auch für die Videoshow ein Audioaufhänger für Schwerhörige vorhanden. Im South Tower gibt es einen weiteren Film zu sehen, vor dem Abstieg für einen kleinen Spaziergang zum historischen Maschinenraum, inbegriffen in Ihrem Ticketpreis. Viktorianische Maschinenräume: Sie geben faszinierende Einblicke in das Konstruktionswesen des späten 19. Jahrhunderts.  Die großen und schön erhaltenen, kohlenbetriebenen Maschinen wurden zur Fertigstellung der Tower Bridge 1894 installiert, und genutzt um bis 1976 Tausende der Klappbrückenhebungen zu ermöglichen . Obwohl die Hebevorrichtungen heute mit Elektrizität funktionieren, sind die originalen Dampfmaschinen immer noch vorhanden. Language App Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Company now has a FREE, foreign language app for both Android and iPhone! This new, easy to use app provides a fully narrated tour in Chinese (Mandarin), German, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish. We're excited to offer this option to our international guests! How to download? Easy as 1, 2, 3! On the guest's phone, search and download "Chicago Trolley Tour" in the application store. Once downloaded, open the app and the language options will appear. Choose the language needed and download. There will be a prompt to enter a password. The password is Chicago (not case sensitive). Please provide password information only once ticket has been purchased. That's it! So how does it work? Headphones will be provided for any guest using the app. Using GPS, the app follows the guests as they enjoy the views from our double deckers and trolleys. The narration is based on plotted points along our tour route. Guests can even click on each point to read the information. Once downloaded, the app does not use data.
