Mounting the unit is both easy and quick: simply use 2 of the screws provided. There are also 2 raw plugs for mounting onto a concrete or brick wall. If mounting the unit onto wood (like a fence) then just use the screws only.  3 modes of lighting: on the back of the unit there is a sliding switch with 4 positions off. Unit off all of the time Off. Unit off all of the timeMode 1 - Motion. The light will automatically turn on in full brightness mode in darkness or at night when motion is detected. It will stay on full power as long as it continues to detect movement. The light will go off when there is no motion. Mode 2 - Dusk till Dawn + Motion. The light will come on automatically as it gets darker but only using the low light setting. If the motion sensor detects any movement then the unit will switch to full brightness as long as it continues to detect movement. it will then revert back to low light after 15-20 seconds. Mode 3 - Dusk till Dawn.
