Walk the echoing halls in the Abbey of St. Francis, where clever monks found a way of purifying the deadly water that coursed through their land. Using the natural ingredients which grow in abundance near the abbey, they purified water from the local well by crafting it into ale. From the moment you step into the Cole House, five generations of Smithwicks illuminate their story of unwavering endurance and unbeatable ingenuity through photos, portraits, letters and lively conversation. Cosy up by the fireplace and learn how one family turned a humble Kilkenny ale into a brew famous the world over! In the Brewhouse you will learn about perfecting the art of mixing four simple ingredients to produce a ruby red ale enjoyed all over the world. But that doesn't mean we are resting on our laurels. We are constantly innovating, and in the Brewhouse you'll discover just what gives our ruby ale its unique character and flavour. After an exciting trip back in time it is time for a rest pint! Mousquetaire de Richelieu By the Grand Carrousel, the wonderful French gardens lead you to the Imaginary World of La Fontaine. Then experience the Belle Epoque atmosphere of the Market Town in 1900. Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes Deep in the ancient forest, Puy du Fou’s natural surroundings become part of a unique show. The exhibition follows the water from the source of the Rhine to the mountains to the Harbour of Rotterdam and finally to the grounds of the North Sea. An 8 meter acryl glass tunnel guides the visitors through the colourful “Red-Sea-Tank”, also simply called “the ocean”. The ocean tank contains over 320.000 liters and is consequently the biggest tank of the SEA LIFE Konstanz. Nurse sharks Sam and Carlos can be seen here, as well as the green sea turtles Amadeus and Clementine, different species of rays and other beautiful fish. Extreme cold and sparkling floes are waiting for you at the end of the tour: Go on an adventurous journey to Antarctica, the home of the gentoo penguins. Disabled access: The aquarium is fully accessible to wheelchairs. Children younger then 15 years have to be accompanied by an adult. Children under 3 are free.
