These Forgefix high-low thread Concrete Frame Screws are Zinc Yellow Passivated for increased resistance to corrosion. They offer a virtually stress free fixing, allowing close to edge applications. The Zinc Yellow Passivation process of electroplating is similar to the 'Galvanised' and 'Zinc Plated' processes but with the addition of a yellow dye. It offers an aesthetically pleasing finish, whilst having excellent resistance to corrosion. By design, TORX® compatible head screws resist cam-out much better than Phillips or Slotted screws. Where Phillips heads were designed to cause the driver to cam out, to prevent over-tightening, TORX® compatible heads were designed to prevent it and to achieve a desired torque consistently. TORX® compatible head sizes are described using the capital letter 'T', followed by a number. A smaller number corresponds to a smaller point-to-point dimension of the screw head. Only the proper driver can drive a specific head size without risk of ruining the driver or screw. The case has cast-aluminium stacking corners, and a high level of stability due to 3 fully-welded aluminium profile frames. Ergonomic and durable, it has C fasteners for at least 20,000 operating cycles, and profile-section joints that are fully welded. The snap fasteners can be secured with a plug lock, have lead seals, and provide protection against bursting open. They can also be sealed by a padlock (Max shackle thickness 6mm). These Forgefix Masonry Nails are heavy gauge universal nails, suitable for fastening all manner of fixtures in place on masonry applications. The nails are manufactured from austempered (heat-treated) high carbon steel for strength and durability, and are Zinc Plated for increased resistance to corrosion. APPLICATION:For fastening, cabling, timber form work etc. to concrete and masonry.Always wear suitable eye protection to the recommended standards. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed.
