The Palace is perhaps best known as the home of Mary, Queen of Scots, and as the setting for many of the dramatic episodes in her turbulent reign. Mary was married at Holyroodhouse and witnessed the brutal killing of her secretary Rizzio by her jealous second husband, Lord Darnley, in her private apartments. The Palace briefly served as the headquarters of Bonnie Prince Charlie during the 1745 uprising. Today the State Apartments are used regularly by The Queen and other members of the Royal Family for State ceremonies and official entertaining. What there is to see: The State Apartments reflect the changing tastes of successive monarchs and are renowned for their fine plasterwork ceilings and magnificent furnishings, particularly the unrivalled collection of Brussels tapestries.  One of the most famous rooms in the Palace is the Great Gallery, hung with  Jacob de Wet's portraits of the real and legendary kings of Scotland. Included on the visit, a display focuses on the Order of the Thistle, the highest honour in Scotland.  The Order honours Scottish men and women who have held public office or who have contributed in a particular way to national life. Shown alongside historic insignia is an example of the mantle worn at the Thistle ceremony at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, which The Queen attends during her visit to the Palace in July. From 1 April to 31 October the gardens, which are today used for garden parties, can be included as part of a visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Visitors to the gardens must keep to the paths, which are about 400 yards long. Jungle Bus: it's a completely free service that transfers visitors from an area close by the Sea Lion Show to the largest Botanical Gardens in the Canary Islands. Frequency: 10 minutes. Shops: there are two shops that open every day of the year from 10:00h to 18:00h where you will find a wide range of gifts and lovely souvenirs to remember your visit and to take home to your friends and family. Mobility Scooters for Rent: enjoy a ride on our electric scooters around the park or to the Botanical Gardens. Highly advisable for people with mobility issues. Photographs with animals: right from the beginning of the visit the park will offer the services of professional photographers who know how to make the most of every memorable setting, either at one of our facilities or standing next to your favourite animal. Don’t forget to collect your photographs at the Oasis Shop, open until 18:00 every day. Food Bags: you can buy the various animal-specific bags at stands, at the park ticket office or at the entrance, where staff will be waiting for you with a special bag so that you don’t have to waste time selecting the food for each animal. All the bags have a label with instructions and the type of food our animals need Restaurants: you may choose between Sea Lion Restaurant, Oasis Restaurant and El Patio Majorero Restaurant.

On the way to Grazalema we will drive through the Natural Park “Sierra de Grazalema”. You will enjoy a range of amazing landscapes and views over the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga and Seville, from “Puerto de las Palomas” which is 1357 metters above sea level. We also get the chance to witness vultures in their natural habitat. These mountains are home to the largest colony of Griffon vultures in Spain. Once in Grazalema, there will be time to have a nice meal, surrounded by the pittoresque white houses decorated with colorful flowers. After lunch we will leave Grazalema and head to Ronda, on the way we will cross a very beautiful mediterranean forest full of cork trees and oaks. Where upto this day locals still work with its cattle (iberian pigs, goats and cows), to extract honey, cork, aromatic spices or wood. After an exciting morning, we will reach Ronda, one of the oldest towns in Spain. Ronda its unique for its surrounding nature and history. It is built on two separate cliffs. The town is connected by the most famous bridge in Spain, known as “The New Bridge” even though it was built in 18th century. In Ronda our tour guide take you around the city and tell you about the rich history city holds. After which you will have free time to explore the town´s beauty.   Pueblos Blancos and Ronda On this tour we will travel through the ancient Andalusian kingdoms of Castille and Granada while reveling scenic nature, history and tradition. We will begin our journey by touring through the Sevillian countryside. Here we can stop at The Castle of “Las Aguazaderas”, an interesting medieval building located at the old border line among Catholic kingdom and Moorish kingdom . We will then continue through the mountains stopping at the picturesque white village of Zahara de la Sierra. After exploring the village we will set off for Sierra de Grazalema.
