We leave the central office of Cityrama on the Rue de Rivoli and drive via the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. You then drive towards the 16th district, known as one of the most prestigious areas in Paris. The first stop is at the quai de la Bourdonnais and you board your Bateaux Parisiens boat for a cruise with audio-commentary available in 12 languages along the River Seine. (Duration : 1 hour). On leaving the cruise you catch the famous Eiffel Tower lift as far as the 2nd floor. The tour ends at the Eiffel Tower. Next we arrive at the one and only “Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame.” This is the “Center of Hollywood” where you have ample time to visit the Kodak Theater (Dolby Theater) & Chinese Theater (homes of the Oscars with movie stars handprints forever in concrete) as well as the stunningly ornate Roosevelt Hotel where stars and famous people are often seen having lunch; the Hollywood Wax Museum; Ripley’s Believe It or Not; Madame Tussauds; American Cinematheque & Egyptian Theater. Stars such as Tom Cruise, Madonna, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Jack Nicholson and so many others live in the magnificent mansions throughout this area and are seen regularly. Romantically stroll along Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame with the stars at your feet; find your favorite star and take a photo. You also have a wonderful view of the iconic “Hollywood Sign” from the Patio of the Kodak Theater. Don’t forget to pick up a souvenir at one of the many gift shops in this area. Most of our time is spent in the wonderful Hollywood Blvd., area but we still see great views of many famous film locations, the Landmark Biltmore Hotel, Magic Castle, Hollywood United Methodist Church, Warner Brothers Studios & Soundstages, Walt Disney Studios, where most of the classic animated movies were made such as Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Mary Poppins, Armageddon & the Pirates of the Caribbean, to mention only a few. We also see Pixar Entertainment and ABC Studios alongside Disney. Welcome to Hollywood, the Movie, Music and “Movie Star” capitol of the world! You will love this fun and fascinating day touring through the Hollywood Hills of Southern California!
San Francisco Museum Of Modern Art: All visitors (including members and visitors 18 and under, who always receive free admission) require a ticket so we can ensure the museum does not exceed capacity. Order tickets in advance for all members of your party so everyone can enter the galleries at the same time. No eating, drinking, smoking, or sleeping is permitted in the Museum. Eating and drinking are permitted in designated areas only (Café 5, Sightglass at SFMOMA, and In Situ). Sealed food and drink containers are allowed if they are packed away inside a bag. Backpacks may not be carried on your back; they must be carried or worn on your front at all times. Hornblower Classic Cable Cars: Hop aboard a motorized Cable Car in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. As the historical vehicle makes its way down Columbus Street through North Beach and Little Italy, listen to live narration about San Francisco and its notable sights. Cruise through Chinatown, Nob Hill and Union Square on your way to your first stop on the walking tour at Civic center/City Hall. With its Beaux-Arts monument to the City, it showcases the beautiful movement that epitomized the high-minded American Renaissance of the 1880s to 1917. Once aboard the Cable Car again you will head through the lower Haight district on your way to your 2nd stop on the walking tour at Alamo Square Park. You will get the chance to be up close and personal with the world famous “Painted Ladies” as seen in the opening credits on the show Full House! Back on the Cable Car we will head down Fell Street toward our 3rd stop on the tour in the Haight and Ashbury district. You will jump off on Haight Street in the center of the 1960’s hippie movement to explore exclusive boutiques, high-end vintage clothing shops, second hand stores, Internet cafés and hip restaurants and bars. All aboard as we now travel through Golden Gate Park, The Richmond district, Sea Cliff and down the coastline as we get ready to jump off at our last but certainly not least stop of the day, The Golden Gate Bridge! The Cable Car arrives at the Golden Gate Bridge, an engineering marvel built across San Francisco Bay during the depression opening in 1937. You’ll step foot onto the famous suspension bridge and listen as your guide shares stories of its art deco structure. Re-board the Cable Car and head back over the Golden Gate Bridge and onward toward the Presidio! Traverse Pacific Heights, one of San Francisco’s most affluent neighborhoods, and take advantage of photo ops as you pass by the home featured in the blockbuster film ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’! Before we drop-off back at the starting point, the historical vehicle makes its way past Ghirardelli Square, home of the namesake chocolates!
