Did you know that Christopher Columbus chose to disembark in Barcelona harbour when he returned from his voyage to America?. To commemorate the event, we suggest you visit the Monument dedicated to this illustrious figure. You'll be able to admire the sculptural ensemble around the base of the magnificent Corinthian-style iron column which has a lift inside that takes you all the way up to the viewing gallery at the top. When you get to the top, you'll be able to enjoy stunning 360º views. For instance, to the north, you'll see the Gothic Quarter with the bell towers of the cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar and La Mercè or the bustling Rambla. To the south, you'll see Mount Montjuïc, with the castle at the top. Montjuïc is also the site of museums, gardens, theatres and the Olympic Ring. If you look down, you'll see the Royal Shipyards, the Drassanes, which are home to the Museu Marítim. If you look east and follow the coastline, you'll be able to make out the modern Forum area with its characteristic photovoltaic roof and skyscrapers. Closer to you, the twin towers mark the entrance to the Olympic Marina. At your feet you'll see the old harbour, the Port Vell, and the industrial port. Finally, to the west, you'll see the Parc Natural de Collserola, the vast green "lung" that surrounds the city, with the Collserola Tower and Tibidabo Amusement Park at the top.

L’Aquàrium de Barcelona es el acuario mediterráneo más grande del mundo, una visita obligatoria para quien se encuentre en esta fantástica ciudad. No se pierda la exposición de medusas, pero también se pueden maravillar con los pingüinos o echar un vistazo a los réptiles y anfibios en el Río Tropical. Hay tanto que hacer que los niños estarán entretenidos toda la visita y usted podrá disfrutar de maravillosas grabaciones con algunos de los peces más hermosos del mundo. En Explora, los niños tienen su propia área para jugar y explorar. Walk through the 11 metre tunnel and get nose to nose with the dangerous denizens of the deep. It’s an experience like no other! There’s plenty of hands-on stuff too. Kids love the pools where you can touch and feed the fish. If you’ve never stroked a carpe now’s your chance. Discover the secrets of cinema through spectacular stage settings, interactive activities, special effects  inspired by mythical scenes.. There’s something for everyone at Aquarium de Paris ! Great weather, fantastic water slides and reasonably priced menus you can buy from the cafes & restaurants make this a great family outing. There is, literally, something for everyone and the dolphin exhibitions (12:00 & 16:00 h) will be sure to amaze both young and old alike. Professional photographers are on hand and capture some great photographs that are displayed near the exit. You are not under any obligation to buy the photographs but the quality is so good you may find it hard to refuse! This year the rings are free so no need to hire your own. From the top of the attractions you will be able to see for miles and if you wish to leave the park to perhaps sit on the beach, which is just across the road from the park, you can get a pass out for 30 minutes. This truly is a wonderful holiday experience. Adrenalin seekers will love: Black Hole, Kamikaze, Splash, Boomerang and Hurricane and for a small extra cost you can really surf the waves on Surf Waimea, a new attraction unique to Aquopolis. For $6 you can enjoy up to one hour on this fantastic attraction. In the months of July and August, parts of the park will be open with a chill out zone, drinks, snacks,mini golf and mini pedal cars and Surf Waimea available.
