When the whales and dolphins are close to the boat you can get excellent views through the glass bottom, or window in the catamaran but if they are a distance away you will get a good view of them from the deck. Whale watching is like fishing and it can't always be promised that you will see them but you have a better chance to see them in these waters than anywhere else in Europe. Your helicopter flight experience begins with a greeting and check-in from our friendly operations staff, followed by a thorough safety briefing in the comfort of our modern and spacious guest lounge. After the safety briefing, we will head out to the helicopter and use your own camera for some photos in front of your helicopter before boarding. The 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge, adjacent to Everglades National Park, is inaccessible except by boat. We will whisk you to a remote barrier island within the Refuge. While places such as Sanibel or Captiva offer shelling, they are crowed. The islands that we go to rarely have a foot print on the beaches. Not only can you experience great shelling in a remote location, you will have the opportunity to see dolphin, possibly sea turtles or manatee, and a multitude of birds such as ospreys, eagles, roseate spoonbills, pelicans and the like while cruising to your island. While shelling, learn about the nuances of tides and currents and how it affects sea life. Your captain/guide will make your tour a family learning experience.
