Must be booked 24 hours in advance. For ages 12 and up. Maximum 4 people per party. As a keeper for a day you will help with everything from preparing diets, feeding our animals, as well as training and enrichment with our exotic animals. They are on permanent display in the Crown Room. St. Margaret’s is the castles chapel and is the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh. It was built in 1130 by David I for his mother and always contains fresh flowers. It has had bomb-proof vaulting since the 16th century, when it was used as a gunpowder store. Where is Edinburgh Castle? Holding a dominant position in Edinburgh city centre itself, on the plug of a 700-million-year-old extinct volcano called Castle Rock.
