How to Use the Brussels Card? Your Brussels Card is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours from when it's first used in a museum You must use your Brussels Card for the first time within a year of its purchase date. How to Use the Brussels Card at the Museum? For as long as your card is valid, you can visit the same museum as many times as you like. You won’t have to pay anything. Simply present your Brussels Card at the ticket desk and it will be electronically validated. Your Brussels Card will be automatically activated the first time you use it. The Brussels Card gives you free access to all permanent collections of the museums. Most of the temporary exhibitions are also included, except for the Old Masters Museum, the Natural Sciences Museum and the Cinquantenaire Museum where you pay the normal entrance fee if you want to visit the temporary exhibitions. How do Discounts work? The discounts for the various attractions, tours, shops, restaurants and bars provided in this guide are for single use only! The discounts remain valid, even after your Brussels Card has expired. To obtain your discount, simply present your Brussels Card and hand over the corresponding voucher you find at the back of the guide. Stirling Castle is a great symbol of Scottish independence & a source of national pride. James and his French wife Mary of Guise aimed to present themselves as wealthy, learned and sophisticated. The decorative style belongs to the Renaissance – a great flowering in arts, literature and philosophy that revolutionised Europe in the 1400s and 1500s. Bright colours, expensive fabics and ornate patterns were essential elements. But this was not flamboyance for its own sake. The decorative scheme was filled with messages about power, prosperity and plenty. It was not limited to the interior chambers but also extended to the exterior walls, embellished with hundreds of statues and other stone-carvings. After leaving your resort and meeting your guides we'll start the climb up to the Soria reservoir. There'll be great views of the impressive volcanic landscapes on the way and once there we'll stop for a traditional breakfast (not included) consisting of local specialities, freshly-squeezed papaya juice and home-made bread. Then it's time to go off road again – we'll speed down dirt tracks raising clouds of dust on the way. You'll see the local cave dwellings, plantations of tropical fruit and more otherworldly rock formations. After a drive through a fragrant pine forest we'll stop at the remote settlement of Tunte for lunch in a traditional restaurant. We'll feast on barbecued chicken, a selection of salads and tiny local potatoes with spicy mojo salsa. Sangria and soft drinks are also included in the price. Then the brave hearted can go on a camel ride in Fataga, Berber-style, for around 30 minutes. In the afternoon we'll continue through our trek through some of the island's many nature reserves making plenty of photo stops for photos before returning to the resort in the late afternoon. This action-packed 4x4 adventure has to be best way to discover of the hidden charms of this beautiful island.
