Highlights York Situated in the Avon Valley, York is one of Western Australia’s most picturesque towns with charming architecture. This town was the first inland European settlement in Western Australia, founded back in 1831. Be sure to take a short stroll along the main town strip and see many of the old buildings which are still in use today. Dog Cemetery Here you will find owners loving memories of their faithful four legged companions. Stroll through the cemetery and see the elaborate headstones and touching messages. Hippos Yawn Another rocky outcrop in the area, named because of its resemblance to a hippopotamus yawning. The Humps View the Aboriginal artwork at ‘The Humps,’ a large granite formation. Mulka’s Cave Hear the Aboriginal legend of Mulka and view the imprints of his hands which can still be seen in the cave today. Wave Rock East of Perth you will find Wave Rock, a giant surf like landmark of multi-coloured granite which is over 2700 million year old. This natural monument is so iconic as it appears to crash into the ground below – creating a wave like landscape. Wildlife Park and Antique Lace Collection If time permits wander through the wildlife park where you can enjoy time seeing kangaroos, emus, wallabies, wombats, koalas, lizards and a wide range of birds. Alternatively view the antique lace collection, dating back to the 1600’s. These hand and machine made lace products are housed in beautiful hand crafted cabinets. Wildflowers (Seasonal) Stop to view wildflowers throughout the tour whilst they are in season. Varieties include the orange flowering Christmas Tree, Kangaroo Paw, Banksia, Wattle and Everlastings.

The first stop is Holy Island, connected to the mainland by a causeway which leads into the quaint island village of Lindisfarne, where there are stunning views of Lindisfarne Castle* (dating back to 1550). Spend time wandering through the ruins of its Priory* where the magnificent Lindisfarne Gospels were produced, sample some of the world-famous Lindisfarne ‘Mead’ brewed by Monks on the island, and enjoy the tranquility for which the island is renowned.  Then continue south by the pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, “Ancient Capital of Northumbria,” overlooked by its imposing castle, then on to the bustling market town of Alnwick, whose greatest building is the medieval Alnwick Castle*. Enjoy time in the town centre or visit the castle complex where there is something for everyone. Home of the Percy Family for over 700 years, Alnwick Castle is considered one of the finest castles in England and is proudly known as “The Windsor of the North”. Visitors can step into the unexpected in the spectacular Alnwick Garden* with its Grand Cascade fountain and Poison Gardens. The castle grounds were also used in the Harry Potter films. In the mid-afternoon we begin the drive north to cross the River Tweed and back into Scotland at the historic border town of Coldstream. If time permits during this journey there will be a stop at Flodden Field, one of the best preserved battlefields in Northern Europe and scene of the infamous battle of 1513, which ended in victory for the English and the death of James IV, King of Scots.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA. In Loyola stop to visit the shrine of harmonious proportions, built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, where we visit the spectacular Basilica and see the house where he was born Ignacio tower. Azpeitia will continue to travel through, and out towards the coast by Zumaia, the embroidery to reach Getaria. We will have free time to visit this charming fishing village located on a mountain slope very fertile, with the Arch of Catrapona, a mediaeval passageway beneath the church with a chapel for sailors, the parish church of San Salvador (fifteenth century), which is a jewel of Gothic architecture, its fishing port, its narrow streets and its typical bars and restaurants. After traveling to Zarautz continue the traditional enclave and tourist reference since the nineteenth century. Later we arrived in San Sebastian. In this beautiful city will make a comprehensive scenic tour to appreciate all his walks, La Concha beach and climb Igueldo overlooking the bay. Then another walking tour through Casco Viejo. Free time for lunch. Our guide will inform of various possibilities of selected restaurants and menus for you to choose the one you draw. Direct return to Bilbao on the highway with magnificent views to get to your hotel mid-afternoon.
