Sightseeing Tour + Tower HOP-ON HOP-OFF TOUR STOPS People absolutely love our unique Hop On, Hop Off tour route.  We start out in Alamo Plaza and immediately give you the double decker view of the beautiful Alamo.  From there we head north towards the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Pearl Brewery Complex, and much more.  And of course you are free to get off and explore at any of our 18 stops.  If you do, just go back to where we dropped you off and wait for our next bus to arrive.  We typically have four double deckers operating so we get to each stop every 20 to 30 minutes.  Take a look at our route below and buy online or come see us in Alamo Plaza.  You will love it!  Our tour stops include: The Alamo Once home to Spanish Missionaries as Mission de Valero, it is the site of the Battle Of The Alamo in 1836. Tobin Center Home to resident performing arts groups and major music and theatrical acts visiting San Antonio.  (Bus stop is directly in front of the El Tropicano Hotel) The Scottish Rite Cathedral Completed in 1924 at a cost of $1.5 million dollars.  A six story building in the style of a classic revival temple.  Serves as a meeting place for the Scottish Rite Masonry. Hipolito F. Garcia Federal Building Historic courthouse and post office located in Alamo Plaza.  (Bus stop across the street from the Emily Morgan Hotel) Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum An immersive Texas experience.  Explore the Museum’s Hall of Horns, and the Texas Ranger Museum and Ranger town. Riverwalk/River Cruise Ride One story above the river, visit St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Majestic, Aztec and Empire Theaters.  Also a great location for guests of the Hotel Valencia, the Drury Inn and Drury Plaza, the Omni La Mansion Hotel and the Holiday Inn Riverwalk to hop on and hop off. San Fernando Cathedral/Spanish Governor’s Palace Founded in 1731 and is the oldest continuously functioning religious community in Texas.  The Spanish Governor’s Palace was constructed in the early 18th century as the “Presidio San Antonio de Bejar”.  It marked Spanish settlement under King Ferdinand VI. Market Square/El Mercado Visitors and residents alike visit El Mercado for authentic Mexican dining, music, and treasures.  Located in the “Zona Cultura”. King William Historic District The Blue Star Arts Complex, the Guenther House, the King William District, and Southtown.  An area know for it’s diverse community, art galleries, restaurants and Victorian era homes. Villa Finale Visitor Center Stop Tour the museum and gardens of preservationist Walter Mathis.  (Bus stop in front of the Friendly Spot) Yanaguana Garden Public art display and playground. Tower of London One of the most famous buildings in the world, the Tower of London was constructed in the 11th century - almost a 1,000 years ago and has been witness to countless significant events in the development of Britain's now democratic monarchy. During your tour of the Tower of London you will meet the magnificent Yeoman Warders or 'Beefeaters', clad as they were in Tudor times, hear the legend of the ravens and spine chilling tales from the Tower's long history. See the infamous Bloody Tower where the Princes were murdered, Beauchamp Tower where visitors can read carved inscriptions of past prisoners and Traitors Gate where those unlucky enough not to survive imprisonment had their heads impaled - and much more. Please remember that the boarding procedure for the London Eye takes 30 minutes so you will need to arrive at least 30 minutes before your reserved time. Please take this into consideration when choosing your time. We have timed allocations for every day of the year. You book online direct from our allocations and your booking is therefore immediately confirmed subject only to the authorisation of your credit card charge. If no suitable time is available, you will be given the option of a request booking which will be fulfilled as soon as we are able to get additional space - for which we check with London Eye Administration on a daily basis. You may have seen New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art before, but you've never seen it like this.  Travel through 6,000 years and across the globe in just a few hours, to gain a greater understanding of the length and breadth of this world-class collection.  In small groups of 15 people or fewer, you’ll delve into the history and art of the Met, seeing works come to life through the stories of your expert guide. We start our tour in the ancient world, with a visit to Ancient Egyptian tomb models.  Incredibly well preserved, these pieces were a more important discovery than they seem, as they offered pictorial insight into what life in Ancient Egypt was like. This insight continues at the incredible Temple of Dendur, fully intact and surreally displayed inside a naturally lit atrium, nestled in Central Park.  Our world tour returns to New York for stained glass by Tiffany and then hops over to Britain to size up the armor of notorious King Henry VIII.  We then head east for the Antioch Chalice, believed by some to be the Holy Grail itself, the cup from which Jesus drank on the night he was betrayed.  Believe the story?  You’ll have time to debate its merits with your expert guide.  For historians our next few stops are a true delight – the Greek and Roman wing contain elegant statues, imperial Roman busts, and intact frescos buried along with those at Pompeii. Off to exotic Oceania to see boldly carved Bisj poles from Papua New Guinea, for which a Rockefeller gave his life.  We’ll then move to the second floor to admire Water Lilies by Monet, a Thinker by Rodin, and the swirling strokes of van Gogh. It’s break time inside the museum or atop the rooftop garden (May-October only, weather permitting) for verdant vistas of Central Park.  The tour continues to the Golden Age of Dutch painting, perusing portraits by Rembrandt and marveling at the virtuosity of Vermeer. After a brief passage through Italy, it’s off to Spain to see El Greco and to France for Jacques-Louis David’s famous Death of Socrates. A little scandal is in store, as your guide gives the inside story of John Singer Sargent’s infamous Madame X.   You’ll then be dwarfed by the immense iconic Washington Crossing the Delaware – one of the most recognized paintings in the United States.  Besides from what’s listed here, you’ll see little surprises and quirks of the collection as you tour.  Our small group and expert guides will allow you to ask questions, be engaged, and take the most from your Met experience! If you cannot climb the stairs of the central entrance there is a ground level entrance one block south, near the intersection of 81st St. and 5th Ave. Inform the desk you need to use the elevator to meet a group in the main lobby (at pharaoh statue) which will then secure your entrance ticket. They will provide you with a temporary pass and help direct you upstairs.
