Dabei besitzt der indische Whisky einen sehr eigenen und unverwechselbaren Geschmack. Dies hat damit zu tun, dass für die Herstellung des Whiskys regionale Gerste vom Himalaya Gebirge verwendet wird. Zudem ist es für indischen Whisky üblich, die geerntete Gerste mit Torfrauch zu trocken. Dadurch wird der Whisky besonders kraftvoll im Geschmack.
