Ein Wein, der das erste Mal im Jahr 1985 gekeltert wurde. Eine Hommage von Vater Italo an den Sohn Sergio, ab diesem Jahr mit seinem Vater das Weingut leitete. Der Name ist zudem eine Anspielung an den alten Namen der Rebsorte Sangiovese = Sangioveto. Ein rubinroter Wein, mit zunehmendem Alter granatfarben. In der Nase reichhaltig, intensiv und fein mit einer Vielfalt an Aromen. Am Gaumen warm, kräftig und elegant mit einem anhaltenden Aroma.

Ein aussergewöhnlicher Wein. Tiefrotes Rubin, leuchtet mit dem hellen Glanz der grossen Burgunder. Intensive und frische Nase, schon bei jungen Wein. Primäre Aromen von roten Früchten dominieren, wie Morello Kirsche Griotte oder Wildkirsche , Himbeere, Brombeere. Wunderbar komplex mit rauchigen Anklängen und eine Spur Laktritze. In Laufe der Reifezeit erscheinen Aromen von Pfeffer, Tabak, Humus undUnterholz. Beim Trinken des Weines ist der erste Eindruck immer klar und die Textur fleischig. Der Körperist fest, ohne rau zu sein, gut ausgewogen, ohne schwer zu sein. Er bringt eine enorme Frische in den jüngeren Weinen mit. Mit dem Alter wird der Wein rund, mit samtiger Textur, präzise, unterstützt von seidigen Tanninen. Er ist lebendig und raffiniert zugleich. Es bleibt ein wunderbares Gefühl von Harmonieund Fülle in den sehr langen und intensiven Nachhall. Passt zu: würzigen Gerichten mit gebratenen Wildgeflügel, geschmortem Lammrücken, klassischen Boeuf Bourguignon sowie zu würzigem Käse.
