In dunkel glänzendem Purpur-Rubinrot erstrahlt der Wein. In der Nase eröffnet sich ein fruchtbetontes, duftiges Bouquet von Schattenmorellen, roten und schwarzen Waldbeeren Brombeeren, Johannisbeeren mit einem Hauch von Backkakao, Vanille und leicht erdiger Würze. Am Gaumen erscheint der Wein sehr saftig, fruchtbetont Schattenmorellen, dunkle Beeren mit präsentem, doch sehr sanft gereiftem Tannin. Der Wein ist rund und ausgewogen mit einer schönen Balance von Kraft und fruchtiger Frische, guter Länge, im Finale fein unterlegt von dunkler Schokolade viel Trinkgenuss fürs Geld. Passt zu kurz gebratenem, gegrilltem oder im Ofen geröstetem Fleisch und Geflügel, gern gewürzt mit vielen mediterranen Kräutern, zu gefüllten Paprika und Auberginen, herzhaften Pastagerichten.
