Visit the Great Cathedral, the Hall of Vicars Choral, Cormack's Chapel (with one of Ireland's best preserved Irish frescoes and Romanesque architecture) and a Round tower, all perched on a solid rock ringed by a curtain wall- most of it dating back from before the Cambro-Norman conquerors came to Ireland in the late 12th Century. Cahair Castle was once the stronghold of the powerful Butler family, the castle retains its impressive keep, tower and much of its original defensive structure. It is one of Ireland's largest and best preserved castles. It is situated on a rocky island on the River Suir. During the dinner you will be served by the pirates themselves while Captain Hook tells you about his adventures on the Spanish Main. But be careful, while you are eating, another ship is silently approaching in the darkness, preparing to board the galleon. No need to be afraid, Captain Hook discovers the enemy’s ruse and orders his men to take up battle stations, the cannon are ready to fire. Pirates armed to the teeth with cutlasses and pistols jump from the rigging down to the decks where a sword fight ensues between the crew and the enemy pirates with amazing sound and light effects.  And all this excitement you’re bound to be feeling hungry so it’s time to sit down at Captain Hook’ s table for a banquet where you can feast on delicious lobster as well as a buffet of salads, steamed vegetables, pirate rice, baked potatoes, grilled chicken and dessert. Put these three activities together and you’re in for a swinging good time! Situated high above the Shotover River on a purpose built, cliff mounted platform is the famous Shotover Canyon Swing. With over 70 different jump styles this swing will have you screaming for that 60m free-fall in more ways than one. Once you’ve faced your fear of falling it’s time to jump on board a helicopter ride which follows the twists and turns of the river to the launch spot for your white-water rafting adventure. Paddle down the richest gold baring river in the world (per km) and take in the narrow canyon’s rapids of rock garden, squeeze, pinball and toilet to name a few. We hope you’re not afraid of the dark as you raft through the 170m long Oxenbridge Tunnel before splashing down the Cascade rapid to finish!
