There is a security check for entry into the Sainte Chapelle. Sharp objects are not allowed (corkscrews, Swiss Army knives etc.) and may be confiscated.

Comfortable walking shoes are advised. There are 422 steps to the top of the towers at Notre Dame. The stairway is vey narrow in areas with small windows. If these conditions make you feel unconfortable you can skip this part of the tour.
