Der Tenuta Perano Riserva zeigt sich in einer glänzenden violetten Farbe. Die Nase wird eingehüllt von einem Blumenbukett, besonders intensiv Märzveilchen und Hundsrosen. Eine fruchtige Note lässt schwarze Johannisbeere erkennen, dann sehr deutliche Würznoten von schwarzem Pfeffer und Muskatnuss, gefolgt von Unterholz und Humus. Im Mund ist er frisch, komplex und reichhaltig. Die Tanninstruktur ist dicht, so wie es sich für einen Sangiovese gehört, der einem ausgezeichnetem Boden entstammt.
