We'll leave the hotel at around 09:30 and head for the fascinating Tzotzil Maya settlement of San Juan Chamula, famous for its unique religious practices blending Catholic and Maya beliefs. During our tour, we'll learn about the culture and traditions of this remarkable community. We visit first their atmospheric cemetery with its Maya crosses spread out across a hill. And from there we'll wander through the village to the main church of the community. Our next stop, San Lorenzo Zinacatan, is another Tzotzil-speaking community. This is one of the most colourful communities in the highlands, and this can be seen in the brilliant red, blue and purple clothing embroidered with large flowers worn by the local people. We'll visit the main church of the community and we'll also meet local people with the chance to buy some of their beautiful work. hen on the way back we we will go on a guided tour of the beautiful colonial city of San Cristobal de las Casas before arriving back at our hotel at around 14:30.

Your tour continues in Georgetown, a picturesque neighborhood home to many colorful row houses and renowned Georgetown University. M Street, which runs through the neighborhood, is a mecca for shopping, dining, and nightlife. You can also hop off at Georgetown Waterfront Park to stroll along the promenade and rent a canoe or kayak! FAQ How long do I have to use my pass? You’ll have one day to use your pass, starting when you redeem your voucher at the CitySights DC Ticket Desk at Union Station in Washington, DC. What does unlimited hop-on, hop-off access mean? Can I get off anywhere?  With unlimited hop-on, hop-off access you can hop off the bus at any of the designated tour stops along the route, spend time walking around or exploring attractions, and get back on the bus at the same stop or any of the other designated stops listed on our map. The double-decker buses run every 30 minutes (Red Loop), every hour (Purple Loop) and every 2 hours (Yellow Loop). Please be advised that times can vary due to traffic conditions. Athlone Castle has a striking presence in the heart of the Co. Westmeath town which resonates with the 800 years of history it encompasses. It was owned at times by either the Dillons or by the O'Kellys, two rival families. It was also residence of the lord presidents of Connacht in the 16th and 17th centuries, the Jacobite central defence during the seiges of Athlone in the 1690s. It was a military barracks for almost 300 years.
