Home to over 2,500 animals from 130 species, 38% of which are threatened, the Night Safari gives you a chance to get up close and personal with beasts large and small who come out to play after dusk.
You’ll travel through discover 7 unique nocturnal zones - from the Nepalese River Valley to the Asian Rainforest and see some of the world’s most exotic species including fearsome predators, primates and cuddly marsupials.
The best way to travel through the seven geographical zones is by a 40 minute long open air guided tram. This moving escapade gives you the best seat in the house (or jungle) to observe the animals on the rugged foothills of the Himalaya and the deepest recesses of the Asian riverine forest. Journey through the meandering trail past the authentically created habitats.
The naturalistic habitats are designed to simulate the animals’ native habitats and are illuminated with subtle moonglow lighting. The Night Safari also has a no-cage policy and is an open concept zoo.
During the visit, make time to experience the live open air shows, showcasing acrobatic animal demonstrations and spectacular tribal dance and pyrotechnics.
The Creatures of the Night and Thumbuakar Performance shows add an extra dimension to your animal adventure with their display of animal talent and fire-eating and tribal dances respectively.
Helicopter Flight Services is proud to operate top-of-the-line, high-performance Bell407 (up to 6 pax) and EC130 (up to 7 pax) helicopters. The spacious cabins and high visibility windows have been specially designed for sightseeing which allows 180 degree views; no other helicopter operator in New York City can offer these unobstructed views. The Bell and EC130 have proven to be safe, fast and powerful helicopters giving an incredibly smooth ride in virtually all conditions.
Pilots are specially trained on both types of helicopters and the state-of-the-art safety system, TCAS. TCAS is an onboard radar system that allows pilots the advantage of managing the air traffic around them. All passengers enjoy their flight with voice interactive headsets to hear and speak to the pilot and each other.
Up at The O2 is an exhilarating experience which will take you on an uplifting guided expedition over the roof of The O2 via a fabric walkway.
Suspended 2m above the surface of The O2 arena's tent canvas, the walkway is 52m above ground level and 350m long.
At its steepest point the walkway has an incline of 28° on the way up and 30° on the way back down and has a slight bounce to it to replicate the surface of the tent. There's a hand rail on the walkway and a balustrade on the observation platform.
Before you climb, you'll meet your Climb Guide who'll take you through everything you need to know and give you a climb suit, shoes and a safety harness. You'll then make your way onto the walkway, via a short set of stairs, ready to start your adventure.
There is an observation platform at the summit where you can take in spectacular 360° views of London and its many landmarks. Once on the platform you will be able to move freely to enjoy the views before your descent. At all other times you'll be attached to the climb system on the walkway to keep you safe and your Climb Guide will be nearby to help you and answer any questions.
