Bei der destillation werden 3 Verfahren eingesetzt: Column Still - die Kolonnendestillation, Batch Kettle - der Dampfkessel und Pot Still - dem Brennkessel. Durch die verschiedenen Brennverfahren entsteht ein ausgewogener und aromenreicher Rum. Botucal Mantuano besteht zu ca. 40% aus schweren Destillaten (Brennkesse), die dem Rum Volumen und Kraft geben. Die restlichen ca. 60% bestehen aus feinen und nicht so schweren Destillaten (Kolonnendestillation und Dampfkessel), die für das perfekte Gleichgewicht sorgen. Dieser Rum gönnt sich eine Reifezeit in ehemaligen Bourbon- und Single-Malt-Fässern von bis zu acht Jahren.Charakteristik:Der Botucal Mantuano Rum eignet sich hervorragend für besondere Cocktails - nicht zuletzt auch wegen seiner dunklen Farbe. Pur schmeckt er am besten in einem voluminösen Glas. Geschmacklich gibt er sich vielschichtig mit Noten von trockenen Früchten, Eichenholz und Vanille.
