But the plot is foiled, and Guy Fawkes is arrested. He has sworn not to give up the names of his co-conspirators, but let’s see if a little brutal torture can loosen his tongue… Ghosts of York A creepy whistle rides on the cold air. A feeling of resentment and anger surrounds you. Your senses tell you that you are not alone. Through the dark silence comes a haunting wail… and then suddenly a pale figure appears before you, a vengeful, ghostly presence that leaves you paralysed by fear! Dick Turpin Travel to the dark depths of York Prison where murderer, thief, and infamous highwayman Dick Turpin awaits his death at the gallows. After years of stealing livestock, robbing stage-coaches and murdering those who came after him, he’s about to meet his well-deserved fate at the end of a rope! But suddenly you enter your worst nightmare: a pitch-dark cell, a waiting hangman and Turpin… who wants his revenge in blood! Easily one of the best art museum in the world, with works spanning 6 continents and over 6,000 years, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is so vast you could easily spend days inside.  If you don’t have days to spare, our Met Express Tour cuts to the core, taking you straight to the collection’s highlights in just 2 hours.  The vastness of the Met collection is what makes it special, so we’ve carefully planned an itinerary to show you a broad spectrum of art, sculpture, jewels, artifacts and even architecture.  Traveling in small groups of 15 people or fewer, with an expert guide, you’ll traverse the globe without leaving Central Park.  Our tour starts in Ancient Egypt, beholding perfectly preserved ancient Egyptian tomb models.  See tiny dioramas that show what life was like in the times of Tutankhamen and learn about the fascinating burial rituals of the era.  You’ll understand a little more of this at our next stop, Egyptian mummies and “William,” the Met’s “mascot.”  Next, onto a prize jewel of the Met Museum, the Temple of Dendur, an Ancient Egyptian Temple right smack in the middle of Central Park.  New York City can thank Jackie O for helping procure this magnificent work, as rumor has it, for cultural and personal reasons.  Your guide will give the gossip along with the art. More rumors abound at two of the next pieces we see – the armor of Britain’s infamous King Henry VIII, and the Antioch Chalice, purported by some as, ‘The Holy Grail.” We’ll see more ancient works of Greek statuary and Roman frescoes before moving to the exotic, with a stop in Papua New Guinea.  The Met houses a number of beautifully carved Bisj poles, collected by a Rockefeller – at the cost of his life.  We’ll then head to the second floor to soak in some of Claude Monet’s famous Water Lillies, be energized by the expressive works of Vincent Van Gogh, and be inspired by a bronze of Rodin’s Thinker. The Entertainment The music is drawn from the Medieval and Renaissance courts of Europe and covers the periods of the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. Our musicians are at the forefront of a reemergence of Medieval English and European musical culture. The music is robust, engaging and emotive, bringing to life 800 year old musical manuscripts that have long been the domain of specialists and enthusiasts. Medieval Banquet Heritage All this takes place with the history of 1000 years beneath your feet! Our production pays homage to this history and notably to the Knights of Portsoken, a group of 13 knights in the retinue of 10th century English King, Edgar the Peaceful. The king gifted to them this very land upon which the banquet sits in recognition of performing three acts of bravery, one above ground, one below ground and one in the water, or so the legend goes. Each evening during the banquet our knights assemble to preserve the history of this ancient rite with an elaborate display of swordfighting There are many opportunities to dance with the cast, sing, bang your fists on the table and cry for your wench to bring you more food or drink! We also have a range of medieval costumes for hire to help you really look the part. Types of Experiences There are a wide variety of experiences for all types of people. Some will enjoy shooting droids in space and fighting off zombies to racing on a track, while others will enjoy flying on a paraglider or climbing a mountain. Others still will enjoy watching short films or painting in the green room. Some experiences require full body motion while others are seated activities.  Queues Each participant gets approximately 5-10 minutes at each experience. Most experiences have a tablet that keeps track of the queue for that experience. Participants can only wait in one queue at a time. However, there are some experiences that have no queue and can be done at any time, even while waiting in a queue for something else. Participants who checked in a with their own phone number will receive a text message when it is their turn in line Checking in At the gate, each participant will sign up using their real name, a screen name, an email, a phone number, and other pieces of information. While not required, if a participant signs up with their own phone number, they will receive a notification when they are at the the front of the queue for their attraction. After this process, participants will be given a wristband that will be used to check into the queue at any VR experience and are free to explore the entire space. Food and Drink There are offering a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, beer, wine and liquor. Our house cocktails will not disappoint. Try the VRWorldian, Simon’s Escape, Caipirinha Assassin or Salty Borzoi to name just a few. No food at this time. There is no food inside the building, but guests are able to leave and re-enter the building during the time of their ticket.
