Next up is the Plaza de Espana - a spectacle that looks incredible all year round. Hop-off and appreciate the semi-elliptical shape of the plaza, which symbolises the embrace of Spain to its former American territories. The 3rd Bus Stop is the 'Acuario de Sevilla' - a sensational aquarium well worth a visit! Hop back on the bus to head down towards 2 more beautiful plazas at Bus Stops 4 and 5. Plaza de America is yet another opportunity to appreciate the architecture of the city, and take in the local scenery. There are brilliant museums nearby to the plaza, so it can cater for people of all ages whether you want to play in the plaza or mooch around the museum. The bus tour then heads towards Triana - where there is a great Guided Walking Tour. Explore the lovely park where you can find some of the best tapas in the city. After Triana the tour continues down to 2 more plazas - Plaza de Armas and Plaza del Duque. The 11th Bus Stop is the Torre de los Perdigones, where there are fantastic views of the river and Seville. Hop back on as the tour passes Macarena (Bus Stop 12) and heads to the 'Isla Magica' - a nice little theme park with an aqua park on the side. Built on an old fort with a lake in the middle, this unique area is full of fun. The tour bus passes the 'Exposición Universal', before heading back to where this fun-packed journey of Seville began, at Paseo de Colon. The first stop is Holy Island, connected to the mainland by a causeway which leads into the quaint island village of Lindisfarne, where there are stunning views of Lindisfarne Castle* (dating back to 1550). Spend time wandering through the ruins of its Priory* where the magnificent Lindisfarne Gospels were produced, sample some of the world-famous Lindisfarne ‘Mead’ brewed by Monks on the island, and enjoy the tranquility for which the island is renowned.  Then continue south by the pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, “Ancient Capital of Northumbria,” overlooked by its imposing castle, then on to the bustling market town of Alnwick, whose greatest building is the medieval Alnwick Castle*. Enjoy time in the town centre or visit the castle complex where there is something for everyone. Home of the Percy Family for over 700 years, Alnwick Castle is considered one of the finest castles in England and is proudly known as “The Windsor of the North”. Visitors can step into the unexpected in the spectacular Alnwick Garden* with its Grand Cascade fountain and Poison Gardens. The castle grounds were also used in the Harry Potter films. In the mid-afternoon we begin the drive north to cross the River Tweed and back into Scotland at the historic border town of Coldstream. If time permits during this journey there will be a stop at Flodden Field, one of the best preserved battlefields in Northern Europe and scene of the infamous battle of 1513, which ended in victory for the English and the death of James IV, King of Scots.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA. Poliorama Theatre The Teatre Poliorama was inaugurated in 1906, it was built inside the building of “Real Academia de Ciencias y Artes” of Barcelona. Located in the heart of the Ramblas of Barcelona, one of the most famous and visited streets in the world, the Teatre Poliorama has always played a prominent role in the catalan cultural life. During the Spanish Civil War, seized by the CNT-FAI, was the scene of shootings carried out by members of the POUM and CNT that George Orwell described in his work “Homage to Catalonia”. A personal story of the writer about his participation in the conflict between the years of 1937 and 1938. The Teatre Poliorama is considered a classic of Las Ramblas and one of the main points of diffusion of culture in Barcelona. Program:
