The Everglades' 10,000 Islands are some of the most diverse fisheries anywhere and is the best wintertime fishery in North America. Marco Island is the largest and most developed of the Ten Thousand Islands, so we try to fish the more remote locations. Unlike most other fisheries, it is possible to catch many different species on a single trip…Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Speckled Trout, Silver Trout, Whiting, Redfish, Snook, Ladyfish, Catfish and various species of shark. All bait, tackle and licenses are included.

Your entire experience will be approximately 1 hour which includes check-in, safety briefing, and 15 – 17 minute helicopter flight. The customer experience center includes; a Chicago history exhibit, flight simulator, helipad viewing lounge, interactive games, and snacks & refreshments available for purchase.  Chicago Helicopter Experience operates a fleet of Airbus AStar helicopters. The aircraft accommodates up to 6 guests plus a pilot per flight and is climate controlled. The 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge, adjacent to Everglades National Park, is inaccessible except by boat. We will whisk you to a remote barrier island within the Refuge. While places such as Sanibel or Captiva offer shelling, they are crowed. The islands that we go to rarely have a foot print on the beaches. Not only can you experience great shelling in a remote location, you will have the opportunity to see dolphin, possibly sea turtles or manatee, and a multitude of birds such as ospreys, eagles, roseate spoonbills, pelicans and the like while cruising to your island. While shelling, learn about the nuances of tides and currents and how it affects sea life. Your captain/guide will make your tour a family learning experience.
