On July 5th, 1955 Elvis purchased a new Cadillac in blue with a black roof. He had the car repainted by a neighbor called Art. Art designed a bespoke color pink which was named “Elvis Rose”. In September 1955, Scotty Moore drove the car into a passing vehicle. Elvis had the upholstery replaced, the body work retouched and the roof painted white.
