Su viaje hacia lo más alto de la Torre Willis empieza pasando por un detector de metales como los del aeropuerto, seguido de un agradable viaje en ascensor hasta la zona de espera donde los visitantes hacen cola para las entradas. Una señal le indicará el tiempo de espera necesario para subir, un momento idóneo para comprobar la visibilidad. Incluso los días que parecen soleado pueden tener niebla o nubes en lo más alto que limitan la vista. Pero en días buenos podrá ver hasta 80 km más allá, hasta los estados de Indiana, Michigan, Iowa y Wisconsin. Mientras espera, podrá ver un vídeo sobre los datos más relevantes de la Torre Willis. Después no tendrá que esperar mucho más hasta subir al ascensor, que le permitirá subir 103 plantas en tan sólo 70 segundos. USS Arizona Memorial Narrated Tour The National Park Service's USS Arizona Memorial Narrated Tour provides a fascinating interpretation on the USS Arizona Memorial, the Visitor Center's two museums and the waterfront interpretive displays. USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park The USS Bowfin Submarine was launched December 7, 1942, one year exactly after the attack on Pearl Harbor and was nicknamed the “Pearl Harbor Avenger.” Credited for sinking 44 major ships on nine war patrols, the USS Bowfin became one of the most decorated submarines of World War II. Visitors first discover the largest Submarine Museum in the Pacific and take a self-guided audio tour on the history of undersea warfare, beginning with the first submarines ever built, to World War I, World War II and the modern nuclear submarines on patrol today. Then visitors proceed on a fascinating self-guided audio tour within the USS Bowfin Submarine itself and go compartment by compartment to learn how the 80 sailors and officers live on their four month patrols. Both of the Submarine Museum and the USS Bowfin Submarine Tour are incredible tours and be done in approximately one hour. These tours are available in English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Check In Policy & Maximizing Your Time Visitors with ticket reservations are required to check in at the National Park Service ticket counter one hour before their tour time. If you check in late, the National Park Service reserves the right to reassign your tour tickets. We highly recommend starting at the Visitors Center’s museum before embarking to the memorial. No Bag Policy For security reasons, no purses, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags, large camera cases or luggage is allowed at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Valuables should not be left in your vehicle. Bag storage is available at the entrance for a fee of $3 per bag. We recommend that visitors bring in their wallets, ID, water, cameras and cellphones. Strollers Strollers are allowed in the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, but not in the theaters or on shuttle boats to the USS Arizona Memorial. While strollers may be parked at the theaters and picked up once visitors return from the Memorial, the National Park Service is not responsible for monitoring strollers or other personal items left behind. Restrooms There are public restroom facilities available at the Visitor Center; visitors are encouraged to use the facilities at the Visitor Center before beginning their Arizona Memorial Program. Food and Beverage Other than clear bottled water, no food or drinks are allowed in the theater, on the shuttle boats, or at the USS Arizona Memorial. Dress Attire Civilian Visitors are reminded that they are visiting a site of tremendous loss of life in service to our country. Sandals are permissible, but bathing suits or profane T-shirts are discouraged. Military Military visitors to the USS Arizona Memorial are within the boundary of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and military regulations relating to military dress are enforced by Navy personnel. Per the Pacific Commander, military visitors in uniform are required to dress in Class B or better in order to gain access to the shuttle boats to the USS Arizona Memorial. Battle dress uniform is not allowed on the USS Arizona Memorial, though it is allowed throughout the Visitor Center and at sites on Ford Island. Military visitors are welcome to wear civilian clothes when they visit.

Microbreweries and home-brewing activities have gained in popularity of late, with upwards of 1,500 independent brewers now making quality craft beer all over the country. In light of this ever-increasing interest in the art of the brew, the experts at tour company Urban Oyster have teamed up with Manhattan by Sail’s Clipper City Tall Ship to offer a sightseeing and beer-educating experience along New York's world-renowned harbor.  The Clipper City is the largest sailing vessel in New York, and was built as a lumber-hauling schooner in 1854. She was later rebuilt based on the original plans, which are now part of the Smithsonian Institute’s permanent collection. In the 1980s, the Clipper City was in grave disrepair until Manhattan by Sail’s founder and native New Yorker Tom Berton arranged to have her restored. The revitalized Clipper City (refurbished with people in mind instead of cargo) comfortably accommodates 150 passengers and crew. With her sprawling deck, ample seating and full bar, she measures in at 158 feet long and 120 feet up from the deck.  The Clipper City Craft Beer Tasting Sail sets sail every Saturday and Sunday afternoons. As the beer connoisseurs introduce your taste buds to a variety of exceptional locally brewed lagers and ales, not to mention an assortment of cheeses and charcuterie, the yacht makes its way down the East River. As you learned about beer-making and the various distinctions between brews, the topsail Clipper heads for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, offering fantastic vantage points of the Manhattan skyline along the way. She sails back toward South Street Seaport where she began, but not before lingering at Lady Liberty and allowing for great views of landmarks like the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Governors Island and the suspended Verrazano-Narrows Bridge with its massive towers and double decks that connect the boroughs of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The views really are stunning, so take advantage of the ship's raised quarter deck for unparalleled sightseeing.  The beer tasting is bookended by opportunities to imbibe at the open bar with a range of liquor, wines and spirits. Explore the cathedral floor then visit the Whispering Gallery to test the unique acoustics. Climb further to the Stone and Golden Galleries, which afford breathtaking panoramic views across the city.
