Poliorama Theatre The Teatre Poliorama was inaugurated in 1906, it was built inside the building of “Real Academia de Ciencias y Artes” of Barcelona. Located in the heart of the Ramblas of Barcelona, one of the most famous and visited streets in the world, the Teatre Poliorama has always played a prominent role in the catalan cultural life. During the Spanish Civil War, seized by the CNT-FAI, was the scene of shootings carried out by members of the POUM and CNT that George Orwell described in his work “Homage to Catalonia”. A personal story of the writer about his participation in the conflict between the years of 1937 and 1938. The Teatre Poliorama is considered a classic of Las Ramblas and one of the main points of diffusion of culture in Barcelona. Program:

On this tour from Salou you can enjoy a trip to Montroig wher you can visit some notable buildings including the beautiful church of Sant Miguel de Montroig built in Gothic and Renaissance style between 1574 and 1610 and the famous ' Our Lady of the Rock' High above the town on a very eroded outcrop of rock stands the sanctuary of ' Our lady of the Rock' with the Sant Ramon Chapel. The sanctuary is perched on a spectacular cliff, formed by red rock and founded in 1299 to house a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary that was venerated there. You can see the ruins of the castle and the dates of 1655 and 1785 are inscribed on the entrance gate, showing that the site was made bigger as it became more popular as a pilgrimage site. It was destroyed in 1811 by Napoleons troops and rebuilt only to be destroyed again in the Spanish Civil War. It was rebuilt again by the people of Montroig and the reproduced the ancient statue of the Virgin Mary but, misfortune struck again and the statue was stolen in 1979. Made again in 1980, it is still worshipped in the church today. So much history in an ancient village for you to visit and enjoy on this 3 hour excursion and on your return to your hotel you will receive a bottle of wine too.

A few years later, he graduated from one of the best catering school in France. He left Paris in 2001 for the United States of America (oh my gooooooood) where he became a waiter. After a wine training course where he finished Major of his hotel promotion, he won THE prize : 6 years visa in the USA! Quickly, he became a restaurant manager in this 5 star Hotel, «The Breakers», Palm Beach, Florida. 5 years later, he decided to go back to Paris to realise his childhood dream: becoming a comedian. In fact, during these few years, he laughed a lot about the cultural differences between Americans and French and he decided to write a one man show 100% in English about all these differences. On the 10 May 2009, his dream came true!!! The show «How to become Parisian a in one hour?» was born. Everybody in the theater industry told him that his project in English was a really stupid idea. Nobody wanted to bet on him so he decided to produce the show by himself and created his «French Arrogance Productions». During the summer months customers enter the pod from the open air boarding deck, overlooking the beach and the West Pier. Please note that the weather on the seafront can be changeable and, as the boarding deck is outdoors, customers should be prepared with wind or rain proof clothing.
