In einem dunklen Rot mit violetten Reflexen bildet sich ein komplexes, aromatisch fruchtbetontes Bouquet von schwarzen und roten Beeren in der Nase. Am Gaumen ist der Wein vielschichtig mit Aromen von reifen roten Früchten, Lebkuchengewürzen, Lakritz und dem typischen Hauch Garrigue, weit mit seidigem Tannin, weicher Fülle und Finesse, im Finale kraftvoll, lebendig mit guter Länge und feinem Nachhall von Röstaromen und pfeffriger Würze. Passt zu hellem Fleisch, z.B. einer saftig gebratenen Poularde mit Tomaten, Oliven und Lavendel, passend auch zu regionalen Käsesorten wie Pelardon, Tomme de Lozere und Tomme des Pyrenees.

Der Wein ist zu 80 Proz. für 18 Monate in grossen Fässern aus slawonischer Eiche und zu 20 Proz. für 6 Monate im Barrique ausgebaut und gereift. Er präsentiert sich mit reicher Frucht. Der ausgewogene Geschmack sowie das angenehm zartbittere Finale von aromatischer Länge unterstreichen den Bordeaux-Stil dieses vornehmen Roten.
