Removable, washable and custom sizable Interior AFX helmet liners and cheek pads are made with a hypoallergenic andanti-microbial nylon, most of which are removable and washable. The size of this helmet is based on a combination of four factors: outer shell size, inner EPS thickness, comfort liner thickness and cheek pad thickness. The fit of the helmet can be customized by replacing your existing cheek pads with thinner cheek pads (for a looser fit) or thicker cheek pads (for a tighter fit). The fit can also be customized by replacing your existing comfort liner with a thinner comfort liner (for a looser fit) or thicker comfort liner (for a tighter fit). Please refer to the shell, liner and cheek pad compatibility chart below. Keep in mind these components can only be replaced inside the group of sizes contained in each size range block.

Features
Heavy waxed cotton main shell is water-repellent and durable, all seams are triple stitched. Removable certified shoulder and elbow protectors is removable, allowing jacket to be worn in a variety of outdoor situations. Back pad compartment with PE padding (Alpinestars Nucleon back protector available as accessory upgrade). External cargo-style pockets with tilted map pocket, plus internal document pocket. Waterproof membrane incorporated between outer shell and flannel liner for excellent levels of weather resistance. Detachable (60g) quilted thermal liner means jacket can be worn in various conditions. A storm-fly front and high collar plus a corduroy collar lining and cuffs for additional levels of comfort. Traditional style belted waist ensure perfect and personalize fitting of jacket. OSCAR by Alpinestars collar and sleeve cuff snaps adjustments.

Main external material: full grained leather, 1.4mm as perour race suits. Furygan Skin Protect lining approved by Furygan’s R&D to reinforce leather products in terms of tearing and abrasion resistance. D3O homologated protectors for elbows, shoulders and back (1621-2 level 1 Central Back type homologated back protector fitted as standard), which offer full protection without restricting comfort and freedom of movement. External protection shells on the shoulders. Areas exposed to abrasion in a crash situation are reinforced with triple stitching to avoid tearing.
Ergonomics / Comfort
Sport fit Thermal padded lining with aluminium inserts on the chest for maximum protection against the cold. Racing sleeves with Kevlar stretch inside the arms. Leather stretch behind the shoulders, and the elbows. Neoprene inserts on collar and the wrists. Waterproof treated leather. Two connecting zips (one short and one full) mounted on an elastic belt. Four pockets (two inside, and two outside).
