Scarborough SEA LIFE & Marine Sanctuary invites you this year to explore the magical re-creation of the most amazing natural wonder in the world, the awe-inspiring Great Barrier Reef. Discover an array of tropical sharks, beautiful rays and colourful coral beneath the ocean surface. Turtle Sanctuary: Visit our brand new refuge for endangered freshwater turtles, the latest in a Europe-wide network of breeding facilities for these strange and exotic animals… many of which have been pushed to the brink of extinction. Our seal hospital is busy all year round caring for sick and injured seal pups until, whenever possible, they are well enough to be returned to the wild. Other highlights include an incredible otter sanctuary, penguin sanctuary and a whole host of other incredible marine creatures. Informative talks and feeding presentations throughout the day make this a memorable day out for the whole family. Restaurant: Indoor: Relax in our café where a selection of hot and cold food is available. We also offer a kids meal with a free gift. Hot food is served from 11 am until 4pm (3pm in winter) Outdoor: From Easter to the end of October you can relax at the outdoor themed seating area and take in the superb views over the North bay. There is a wide range of hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks to choose from. Let the children pan for gold while you enjoy your cappuccino. Each child receives a medal for their efforts. Shop: Visit our shop for every kind of fishy souvenir you can imagine Showtime: There are regular talks, presentations and feeding displays with our sanctuary animals throughout the day. Here you can get up close and personal with its inhabitants such as common shore and velvet crabs. Meet a member of the displays team at the touchpools. Along the way you will meet some of Australia’s favourite animals. At our first stop, Moonlit Sanctuary, you can cuddle a koala (**fee applicable) and hand feed kangaroos and wallabies. Enjoy lunch overlooking a billabong teeming with waterbirds before we make tracks to Phillip Island.  You will be dropped off at the Island Accommodation early afternoon and can explore the magical island coastline on your own at your leisure.  Next day we will come and pick you up early afternoon.   First stop on day 2 is historic Churchill Island. Down at Churchill Island take time to wander about the gardens surrounding the historic Amess House. Learn about the significance of this small island in the history of Victoria. Head over to the farm yards where you’ll get to see stockwhip cracking, sheep shearing and working dogs in action.  From here we’ll take you to the Koala Conservation Centre where you’ll get up close to koalas in their natural environment.  Next we head over to the home of the Little Penguins, Summerland Peninsula, but before we meet the stars of the show we’ll take a break at the Nobbies Centre.  Last but certainly not least is the world famous Penguin Parade. Here you’ll see hundreds of Little Penguins come ashore just after sunset, make their way across the beach and up into the sand dunes to their burrows. Betrunkene Gäste erhalten keinen Zugang zum Aquaventure Water Park.
Kinder sollten zu jeder Zeit von einem verantwortlichen Erwachsenen beaufsichtigt werden. Rettungsschwimmer sind für die Sicherheit aller Gäste anwesend, bieten jedoch keinen Ersatz für die ständige Beaufsichtigung der Kinder und anderer Personen.
Brillen und Schmuck sollten vor dem Nutzen des Parks abgelegt werden werden.
Aquaventure-Attraktionen werden nicht für werdende Mütter, Personen mit Nacken-, Rücken-, Gelenks- oder Herzproblemen, Übergewicht oder körperlich einschränkenden Bedingungen empfohlen. Gäste mit Verletzungen (Abgüsse, Bandagen usw.) oder ansteckenden Krankheiten können die Attraktionen nicht nutzen.
Schwimmwindeln für Babys und Kleinkinder müssen in Pools getragen werden und sind in allen Läden im Park erhältlich.
