The participants are received at the meeting point, at the end of the seating area of the dolphinarium, by a guide. He/She will welcome the participants and introduce the activity. The participants have to shower and change in the prepared facilities at the meeting point. There are lockers and ladies’/gents’ changing rooms and in which they may leave their belongings. After showering and putting on the wet suit, the participants will have to wash their hands with a disinfectant (clorhexidine). Upon entering the dolphinarium platform each participant will go through a footbath that will contain water and a disinfectant product for footwear (clorhexidine). The group approaches the pool while the trainers bring the dolphins to be able to give an educational talk about morphology and characteristics. Once the talk is finished, the visitors sit at the edge of the pool with their feet in the water, having the chance to interact with the dolphins by means of signals under the trainers’ instructions. Then the group of visitors will enter the pool that has been prepared for the activity and each participant has a moment’s individual Encounter, the chance to interact with the dolphins and has the chance briefly to touch a dolphin [strictly under the instruction and supervision of a qualified trainer]. Upon finishing, the group of visitors will be accompanied to the Meeting area where each participant will have to shower/change and collect his/her belongings. The group is bid farewell with a message about conservation and protection of the environment.       A truly wonderful unforgettable experience!

For your riding safety, guests must be at least 12 years of age and weigh at least 100 pounds and not in excess of 260 pounds. All participants must be at least 12 years of age.   QUESTION: HOW BIG WILL MY GROUP BE? Our tours operate in groups of 8 guests or less.   QUESTION: WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO GET THERE FOR MY TOUR? We ask that the client arrive 10-15 minutes early for the scheduled tour to fill out necessary paperwork.  Each member of your party will be required to complete and sign a liability waiver form.   QUESTION: WILL I NEED TO PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT? Yes.  Insurance requires that City Segway Tours pre-authorize 400€ on a credit card. Please bring your MasterCard, Visa, Amex, or cash with you for this deposit (not Discovery).  Your card will not be charged, but we will hold onto the details should your Segway incur any damage while in your possession.   QUESTION: IF THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TO RIDE A SEGWAY, WILL I BE ABLE TO PICK IT UP QUICKLY? Your safety is always our highest priority. Therefore, we begin each tour with a very thorough orientation of the Segway and its use before going out to enjoy the city!   QUESTION: CAN MINORS COME ON TOUR ALONE? For safety reasons, minors (anyone under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.   QUESTION: IF I AM PREGNANT CAN I JOIN THE TOUR? Unfortunately, due to the risk to both child and mother, pregnant women are not allowed to participate on our Segway tours.   QUESTION: ARE THE TOURS CANCELLED IF IT RAINS? Our tours go rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office for €1 which are fully reimbursed if not used.

Languages Living History Audio Guide at Beatles Story Albert Dock has been compiled and is narrated by John Lennon's sister Julia and is complimentary. Ten languages: Brazilian Portuguese (new), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin (new) Polish, Russian and Spanish. We also have a family audio guide in English.   Accessibility Parking – Albert Dock has a number of car parks on site and has in total eight accessible car parking bays, with three available in car park A, near to the estate’s main entrance and five in car park B opposite The Beatles Story and Premier Inn hotel. Wheelchairs – The exhibition is fully wheelchair accessible. Due to fire evacuation procedures, we can only admit three wheelchairs on site at any one time. We have a standard wheelchair available which can either be booked in advance by telephoning +44 (0) 151 709 1963 or borrowed on the day by asking a member of staff at the main entrance (subject to availability on the day).
