This summer see more than a dozen species of seahorses, seadragons, and their relatives in the Horses and Dragons exhibits. Pacific seahorses native to our local area are on display in the first floor Southern California/Baja gallery, a trumpetfish is included in the Gulf of California exhibit on the second floor, and various species of seahorses, seadragons, pipefish, razorfish, and other animals from this family are on display in the Tropical Pacific gallery. The longsnout seahorse (also known as the slender seahorse) and dwarf seahorse have never before been exhibited at the Aquarium. Visitors will learn how these animals are bred and cared for at the Aquarium, see babies, and learn about the conservation issues these animals face in the wild, including harmful fishing practices, the traditional medicine and curio trade, and habitat loss. Does not include Behind the Scenes Tour or Turtle Vision 4D movie  Café Scuba, serving a variety of sandwiches, salads, burgers, pizza, and more, provides a relaxed atmosphere overlooking our Seals & Sea Lions exhibit and is the perfect place to grab a meal or a quick snack.  In partnership with the Aquarium of the Pacific, SAVOR... serves environmentally friendly and sustainable seafood at Café Scuba. Additional food can be found at Bamboo Bistro, the Coffee Cart, and the Jamba Juice hut.

The starting point of this open-top bus tour is at Larcomar, Bus Stop 1. Make sure you check out the shopping centre nearby before you get on to one of our buses, you'll find so many shops there for everyone's tastes. We'll pick you up straight from the bus stop at Larcomar. Don't worry, you won't miss our buses, they're bright red, London style buses with an open top roof! Hop on-board and enjoy the views from up high as we drive past 7 of Lima's finest attractions. Get your camera ready! First up at Bus Stop 2 you'll see Parque Kennedy and it's beautiful surroundings, located right in the heart of the Miraflores district. Next up is the historical landmark Huaca Pucllana at Bus Stop 3. Here you'll see pre-Incan pyramids up close, all of which are still very much intact, right in the city centre.  We'll drive you straight through the Plaza Grau at Bus Stop 4 where you'll be able to take in the vibrant energy and witness the monument in the centre, a sculpture that stands over 20 metres tall, created by the Spanish sculptor, Victorio Macho. We'll take a peaceful drive through Plaza Mayor, also known as the Plaza de Armas and you'll be able to see some of the most spectacular buildings in Lima, including the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace of Lima. Unseen Oceans: March 12, 2018–January 6, 2019 Oceans explores our blue planet’s defining feature—the world ocean—as revealed through 21st-century technology. Visitors to the exhibition will meet the elusive giants of the sea, including whales, sharks, giant squid; sink beneath the waves in a virtual submersible theater; and marvel at the vivid fluorescence displayed by marine creatures but invisible to us . . . until now. And they’ll leave with a deeper awareness that the future of the planet depends on the future of the ocean. The Butterfly Conservatory (October 7th, 2017 - May 29th, 2019) This exhibition, an annual favorite, features up to 500 live, free-flying tropical butterflies from the Americas, Africa, and Asia. The butterflies are housed in a vivarium that approximates their natural habitat, includes live flowering plants that serve as nectar sources, and features controlled artificial light, temperature, and humidity. T. rex: The Ultimate Predator: (March 11, 2019 - June 16th, 2019) This exhibition will focus on the on the genus of dinosaurs known as tyrannosaurs. The exhibition will explore how these mega-predators came to be, with an emphasis on the most famous and impressive member of the family, Tyrannosaurus rex. Updated Climate Change Exhibit Understand one of the most urgent scientific issues of our time. explore how climate change is affecting the world today as well as what might happen in the future if the current course continues.

Screamin' Gator Zip Line Clip in and “zip” off on an exciting outdoor adventure with the all-new Screamin’ Gator Zip Line at Gatorland. Your journey will take you along 1,200 feet of high flying, heart pounding adventure from some of the finest zip line towers in the world. Standing over seven stories tall, these amazing towers feature multilevel launch pads and breathtaking views from high above the treetops. Soar through the air and defy gravity over some of the theme park’s star attractions--including Cuban and Nile crocodiles--before heading over the Alligator Breeding Marsh, complete with one hundred and thirty giant alligators watching from below! Requirements • Participants must be at least 37" tall and weigh no more than 275 lbs, and must fit safely into the zip line harnesses (Guests may be required to weigh in at time of participation). • Participants must wear closed toe shoes. After 35 years of loyal service carrying millions of passengers, the old Iron Horse was finally retired in 2000 and a new station was built. Very Merry Aviary: Gatorland's Very Merry Aviary, home to the colorful and friendly Lorikeets, is a great place to get upclose to nature. These brightly colored parrots, native to the Western Pacific and East Indies area, are specially adapted to a diet of pollen, nectar, and fruit. Great Shows Gatorland has been entertaining people with fun, exciting and educational shows about dangerous and unusual animals for years! Where else can you help a gator wrestler pick out the gator they are about to wrestle or have an up-close experience with really cool reptiles or see crocs and gators jump high in the air for food? The Gator Jumparoo Show: Thrills and chills abound as some of the largest alligators in the world actually jump four to five feet out of the water to retrieve food in this famous one-of-a-kind show. Learn more about alligators and crocodiles and their awesome powers. Watch as giant alligators jump high enough out of the water to actually snatch food from the trainer's hand. A must see for the entire family! The Gator Wrestlin' Show: Gatorland® offers a unique alligator wrestling show done "Florida Cracker" style in a shaded 800 seat stadium. Gator wranglers catch a 6 to 8 foot alligator by hand and climb onto the snapping animal's back to point out survival features to the audience. After doing stunts that only a few are brave (or foolish) enough to try, the alligator is rolled over and put to sleep...only to be awakened by a tickle! Upclose Encounters Show: You never know what kind of animal you might be introduced to next at the Upclose Encounters Show! You'll get to meet fascinating creatures from around the globe as well as Florida's native wildlife - including some of the most dangerous snakes alive. Critters On The Go Show: The newest entertainment experience at Gatorland features the softer side of the animal world and is hosted by either Miss Vera, trail boss Gabe or one of the Gatorland Entertainers. Check out these interactive animal encounters where you and the little ones can oohh and aahh at some of the park’s cute and cuddly critters!
