This temporary exhibition, which is included with general admission, will be open to the public from March 19, 2016 through January 8, 2017. Mission Moon -  WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER Mission Moon invites you to experience America’s first steps into space through the eyes of NASA’s Captain James A. Lovell Jr. and his family. You’ll find out how the United States became the first nation to put a man on the Moon, what it’s really like to be an astronaut, and why it takes a team to explore uncharted worlds. Community Design Lab -  In the Community Design Lab (CDL), you can test different materials to find out which ones will survive the journey to 100,000 feet above the Earth’s surface. Your discoveries may find their way into a future flight with Far Horizons, the Adler’s high-altitude ballooning program! If you could photograph an object in space, what would it be, and who would you share it with? In the CDL, you can build a DIY telescope-mount for your smartphone and become an instant astrophotographer! Test it out on one of our ’scopes and share your photos on social media. Clark Family Gallery  WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER This futuristic, constantly changing environment features a one-of-a-kind architecture with vibrant lighting and video presentations. It was created using approximately 13,000 linear feet of aluminum tubing and 20,000 square yards of fabric. The gallery also has 125 LED lights, each capable of producing sixteen million different colors and over two billion different lighting combinations. Astronomy in Culture -  WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER Go back in time and learn about some of the people and societies who have challenged themselves to understand our place in the Universe. This exhibition features spectacular astrolabes, armillary spheres, and sundials to illustrate the medieval European and Middle Eastern conception of the Universe. Visit our medieval classroom to find out how much different school was back then. Learn how to use early astronomy tools including astrolabes and sundials. Atwood Sphere -  WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER Experience the night sky over Chicago as it appeared in 1913 in the Atwood Sphere – Chicago’s oldest planetarium. Although the star positions have not changed since then, we can see only a small percentage of these stars in our current night sky due to light pollution. The sphere is seventeen feet in diameter and has 692 holes drilled through its metal surface. These holes allow light to enter and show the positions of the brightest stars in the night sky. Take a live guided tour of the Atwood Sphere and identify stars and the constellations they form.

Exhibits Shark Channel - When Miami Seaquarium® first opened in 1955, one of the main attractions was the Shark Channel. Today, guests are still entranced by these fearsome creatures. At the Shark Presentation, animal care specialists feed 200-pound sharks while explaining the various species of shark that exist worldwide. Tropical Reef - A favorite among park visitors, the Main Reef Aquarium features a 750,000-gallon saltwater aquarium teeming with reef fishes of every size, color and description. During the Reef Presentation, a diver accompanied by a group of Sea Trekers slowly work their way around the aquarium allowing visitors to watch as he/she hand-feeds the colorful tropical fish, large groupers, cobia, stingrays and moray eels. This presentation is accompanied by an informational narration. Manatees - At the Manatee Exhibit, guests come face-to-face with Florida's state marine mammal through poolside and underwater viewing areas. The Manatee Presentation provides an opportunity to learn about this fascinating and federally endangered animal and, more importantly, explains ways that guests can help save these gentle creatures of the sea. The manatees featured are part of the rescue and rehabilitation program at Miami Seaquarium®. Seal & Sea Lion - The Seal & Sea Lion Feeder Pool is adjacent to the The Golden Dome, a Miami landmark designed by architect Buckminster Fuller. Throughout the day, guests may enjoy the Seal and Sea Lion Exhibit, where they can observe Sea Lions and Seals as they frolic in the South Florida sun. Daily feeding sessions provide the opportunity for guests to feed some of these playful and boisterous mammals. Discovery Bay - View sea turtles, Florida birds and other wild-life in a natural mangrove forest environment. Explore our sea turtle exhibit to learn more about the 5 endangered sea turtle species that live in Florida waters. The sea turtles featured are part of the rescue and rehabilitation program at Miami Seaquarium®. Tropical Wings - View a variety of tropical birds, including Cockatiels, Macaws, Flamingos and our resident peacock, Peeps. Listen carefully and one of our parrots may just greet you with a subtle “hello.” Our animal keepers are on hand to answer any questions you may have and tell you more about the birds we have on exhibit. Tropical Wings is also home to our Stingray Touch Pool. Tropical Fish Aquariums - Explore the stunning variety of tropical marine life that inhabits the aquariums lining the walls of the Top Deck Dolphin area. These aquariums feature an array of interesting fish species with unique characteristics. Explore a number of ocean creatures from Florida Lobsters that live in local reefs to the invasive Red Lion Fish which was recently discovered in Caribbean waters but are originally from the Pacific and Indian oceans. Crocodile Flats - Crocodylus niloticus, also known as Nile Crocodiles, are the center of attention in their home at Discovery Bay's Upper Island, known as Crocodile Flats. This exhibit is made up of 32 tons of rock, 72 tons of beach sand, coconut and sable palm trees. The crocodiles are 6 ½ to 8 feet long and when fully grown can reach a size of 16 feet and nearly 1,000 pounds. Their main diet consists of chicken, fish, and rabbit. Stingray Exhibit - Meet the newest creatures to call Miami Seaquarium® their home - Southern and Cownose Stingrays who have taken up residence in a new 10,000 gallon touch pool, located inside the Tropical Wings Exhibit at Miami Seaquarium®. The new interactive exhibit, gives park guests the opportunity to feed and feel the gentle glide of these amazing creatures at their fingertips. Daily feeding sessions provide the opportunity for guests to feed the Stingrays. Sharky's Sky Trail - Sharky’s Sky Trail is a multi-level aerial obstacle course that provides a challenging and fun experience for the whole family. Park guests will be able to climb three stories in the air to face 18 challenges including rickety bridges, suspended ropes and other balancing obstacles. While safely harnessed in an overhead track, you walk the planks and tiptoe the tightropes 32 feet above Miami Seaquarium®! Salty's Pirate Playground - Batten down the hatches and walk the plank at Salty’s Pirate Playground, a wet/dry playground area. The attraction consists of a two-level pirate ship, 31 feet by 27 feet, located at the center of a shark filled moat. The pirate ship, featuring water blasters, cargo nets, padded areas and a spiral slide, entertains buccaneers ages two through twelve. Shows Top Deck Dolphin - Thrill to the high-flying antics of bottlenose dolphins as they perform breathtaking leaps and rolls. Guests thrill to the acrobatics of these agile marine mammals as they brave “rough waters” during the Rock n’ Roll Cruise. The Top Deck dolphins can be viewed anytime throughout the day from above and below the water. Keep your eyes open you might be able to spot a baby dolphin depending on when you visit. Golden Dome Sea Lion - Enjoy the hilarious adventures of Salty the Sea Lion and his Reef Rangers. This comedic playlet allows the sea lion and seal stars to show off their athletic and comedic abilities as they explore the reef searching for a littering diver. You, too, can be a Reef Ranger by helping protect our waters from trash and recycling whenever possible. Flipper Dolphin Show - The new Caribbean themed show, with a new set, music, and behaviors will let everyone know what Flipper has been up to in recent years. While the show demonstrates that Flipper’s surroundings may have changed, his core commitment to helping out when there is a need has not. In addition, a new historic display of images and nostalgia from the original TV show will be on exhibit at the entrance of Flipper's stadium. Killer Whale & Dolphin - There’s only one place where you’ll find Pacific white-sided dolphins living, playing and performing alongside a killer whale! Be amazed and delighted by Lolita the Killer Whale and her exotic Pacific white-sided dolphin friends as they show off their natural grace, beauty and intelligence through the special relationship between animal and trainer.

Wenn Sie das nicht tun können Sie am Eingang abgewiesen werden wenn es zu voll ist.   London Zoo Tiger Territory: Heimat der zwei vom Aussterben bedrohten Sumatra-Tigern des Zoos, die nach einer umfassenden Sanierung ein brandneues 3,6 Millionen Pfund teures Gehege bekamen. Im Tiger-Territory begeben sich Besucher auf eine Reise durch einem indonesischen Lebensraum und begegnen den wunderschönen Tigern durch Glasfenster die vom Boden bis zur Decke reichen. Die neue Anlage, die fünfmal so groß ist wie das frühere Tigergehege, wurde mit dem ZSL-Team aus Tierpfleger, Naturschützern und Experten entworfen um sicherzustellen, dass es den Bedürfnissen der Großkatzen perfekt entspricht. Tiger sind ausgezeichnete Kletterer und beobachten ihr Terrain gerne von einem hochgelegenen Aussichtspunkt und Tiger Territory erlaubt ihnen genau dies zu tun. Die Anlage verfügt über hohe Bäume auf denen die Katzen klettern können und hohe Fütterungssäulen, um ihre natürlichen räuberischen Verhaltensweisen zu fördern. Für die meisten Katzenarten eher unüblich: Tiger lieben das Wasser. Besucher können beobachten wie sie in ihrem maßgeschneiderten Pool abhängen. Wenn sie nicht im Wasser spielen, haben die Tiger Zugang zu Indoor-Höhlen, in denen die Besucher den großen Katzen beim Entspannen zugucken können. Sorgfältig angepflanzt um die tropischen Blätter der Insel Sumatra zu imitieren, studierte das Team von Experten des Gartenbaus Bilder der einheimischen indonesischen Flora, die der Tierpfleger Teague Stubbington bei seinem jüngsten Besuchs des ZSL-Tigerschutzprojekts gemacht hatte. Tiger-Territory arbeitet auf der ganzen Welt um das Schicksal des Sumatra-Tigers zu ändern. Damit wird es ZSL ermöglicht Tiger im ZSL London Zoo zu züchten und mehr über dieses flüchtige Tier zu erfahren. Das European Breeding Programme und das Global Management Species Programme for Sumatran Tigers werden vom ZSL London Zoo koordiniert – hier sind ZSL Spezialisten verantwortlich dafür eine gesunde und vielfältige Tigerpopulation in Zoos auf der ganzen Welt zu gewährleisten. Tiger Territory wird eine Generation von Menschen informieren und dazu inspirieren die Tiger zu schätzen, ihre Rolle in dessen Überlebenskampf zu unterstützen und somit weiterhin Hoffnung für die nächsten Jahre zu schaffen. Animal Adventure Wir haben gerade unseren neuen Kinderzoo namens Animal Adventure eröffnet. Diese Ausstellung bietet Tausenden von Kindern die Möglichkeit in die Sehenswürdigkeiten, Geräusche, Gerüche und Erfahrungen des Lebens im Tierreich einzutauchen. Penguin Beach Der 1.200 m² großer Pool der Ausstellung ist viermal größer und dreimal so tief wie der alte Pinguinpool des Zoos. Er fasst 450.000 Liter Wasser. Unsere große Vorführfläche macht die Fütterungszeit zu einem noch größeren Spektakel als zuvor. Penguin Beach Live bietet zweimal täglich Fütterungen, bei denen die Besucher beobachten können wie die Vögel um ihr Essen tauchen. Penguin Beach ist eine Brutstätte für Kolonien von Humboldt-, Goldschopf-, Brillen- und Felsenpinguinen und eine spezieller Pinguinkinderspielplatz, in dem die Kinder schwimmen lernen können. Butterfly Paradise Die Butterfly Paradise Ausstellung im ZSL London Zoo zeigt Arten aus mehreren Großregionen wie Afrika, Südostasien und Mittel- und Südamerika. Meet the Monkeys Vor zwei Jahren haben wir unsere Meet the Monkeys Gehege eröffnet für eine Brutgruppe von Bolivianischer Totenkopfäffchen. Ihr Lebensraum wurde so entworfen, dass es den bolivianischen Regenwald so nah wie möglich nachbildet obwohl es im Zentrum von London liegt. Aquarium Das Aquarium ist seit 1853 im ZSL London Zoo beheimatet und hat eine sehr interessante Geschichte. Es ist in drei verschiedene Hallen unterteilt, in denen verschiedene Fischarten beheimatet sind. Das Aquarium ist ebenfalls an vielen verschiedenen Naturschutzprojekten und Zuchtprogrammen beteiligt Blackburn Pavilion Fliegen Sie zu unserem neuen tropischen Blackburn Pavilion und lassen Sie sich in einem Vogelparadies im Zentrum von London entführen!
