Take to the skies to see Brighton and the beautiful South Coast as you have never seen them before. In a fully enclosed futuristic glass pod, enjoy views across Brighton, the South Downs, Sussex coastline and, on the clearest days, all the way to Beachy Head. Enjoy a drink at the Nyetimber Sky Bar, one of the most unique bars in the UK, serving a range of local drinks including Nyetimber, an award-winning sparkling wine. Visit the beach building for the free ‘British Airways i360: How it Was Built’ exhibition, enjoy a meal at West Beach Bar & Kitchen or browse the BAi360 shop for a range of gifts and souvenirs, many created by local Brighton artists. During the summer months customers enter the pod from the open air boarding deck, overlooking the beach and the West Pier. Please note that the weather on the seafront can be changeable and, as the boarding deck is outdoors, customers should be prepared with wind or rain proof clothing. Pod flights depart every 30 minutes and each flight lasts approximately 25 minutes (including boarding and disembarking). Afternoon Tea Enjoy sea-views whilst indulging in a delicious spread of sweet and savoury treats at the West Beach Bar & Kitchen. (situated in the BAi360 beach building) Each Afternoon Tea serves four finger sandwiches, two scones (one fruit and one plain) and an assortment of freshly made mini patisseries. You also receive a bottomless hot drink and can choose from a selection of Camellia’s teas, coffee or hot chocolate. Sandwich fillings are inspired by the seasons, and options include ham hock and wholegrain mustard, cheddar cheese and homemade chutney, free range egg mayo and even locally sourced smoked salmon and cream cheese. Available Monday – Sunday, with pod flights between 14:30 – 17:00. Limited availability, pre-booking is recommended.
Leaving Glasgow you travel north-east to Stirling, where your first stop is the WallaceMonument*; a towering stone testimonial to the Scottish legend William Wallace. Inside you will find fascinating exhibits leading you through the life of the real Braveheart and most impressive of all, Wallace’s legendary 5ft 6in(1.7m) tall broadsword. You then travel further north to Gleneagles Hotel Estate - one of Scotland’s world class golf resorts and site of the 2014 Ryder Cup. Enjoy a photo opportunity here and see where the international legends of golf play. You will continuey your journey through the pretty countryside of Perthshire to your next stop in Crieff, where we visit The Famous Grouse Experience* at Glenturret Distillery. Learn about the traditional whisky-making process, see how you measure up to the world’s largest bottle of whisky and sample some of ‘The Water of Life’ itself at the fantastic Taste Experience bar. Timberbush Tours customers can also enjoy an exclusive tasting of the Black Grouse Alpha Edition; a rich, smoky blend available only at Glenturret Distillery. Enjoy a range of tasty lunch options in the Glenturret Cafe or take a stroll in the distillery grounds. In the afternoon you will travel west past beautiful Loch Earn and down through Strathyre to Kilmahog Woollen Mill for the chance to meet Hamish the Highland cow† continue on through the Trossachs - Scotland’s first national park, known as ‘the Highlands in miniature’ for its abundance of lochs, mountains and forests, where you'll discover the lands of legendary outlaw, Rob Roy MacGregor. You will then make a brief refreshment stop in the pretty town of Aberfoyle, before returning to Glasgow. *OPTIONAL EXTRA. †Hamish the Highland cow is moved to another location during winter months. First we head up to the West Coast, to the very top of the island, to Los Gigantes, the giant cliffs. here you have magnificent cliff views and here we will stop to give you the opportunity to take some treasued photos.Next we visit Icod de Los Vinos, home of the mysterious Drago Tree, the largest and longest known of its kind in the world. La Oratava, is a city of great architectural beauty, is the next port of call where the guide will recommend a restauarant that you may wish to have lunch in. This is optional and not included in the price. If you don´t wish to use the restaurant you will have free time and you can enjoy a picnic or sandwiches that you have brought from the hotel. You will end the cultural tour around the island with a stop at the Ocean side Basilicain Candelaria, the Patron Saint capital of the Canaries and the famous statue of the Black Madonna. Here, in this famous sqare you will also see the statues of the Gauch Menseyes (Kings), the first inhabitants of the Canaries. With lots of photo stops, this is a perfect way to see the island..
